Simpel apartment good location!
All you need in Barca is a bed and shower.
L'appartement est idéalement situé,
seul bémol : il n'est pas moderne comme peuvent l'indiquer les photos !
Sinon pour un week end c'est très bien !
Excellet location. Close to everything. The only good thing about it.
The apartment is in much older shape than it looks in pictures. It smells a bit stuffy as you can tell people smoke inside. The apartment has only one room and not two as stated in the description. The second room is actually a part of the living room with curtains. Pillow cases were not clean and smelt like people. Not ideal for winter as the heating system is (email hidden) in the living room. Windows not properly sealed and the cold wind seeps in.
We were also offended that they only provided one roll of toilet paper (not even a bar of soap). I have rented apartments in Barcelona through Airbnb before, and owners were nice enough to provide rolls of toilet paper, soap, shampoo, water, and in some cases even wine and champagne. I guess this is because you are dealing with a real estate agent and not the owners themselves. The realtor was also very strict about the check in/out time. We landed at 12 pm and she made us wait until 2 pm. Also she refused to extend check out time by just a couple of hours. We had to leave by 12 and our flight was at 5. We had to rent a locker to leave our luggage while we walked around on the last day.
On a general note, I would highly advise Airbnb not to let real estate agents ruin their beautiful service. They are very personal. Don't turn this into something commercial. If I want to deal with realtors I can easily call one.
Appartement un peu vieillot mais bien placé et propre. Idéal pour y dormir seulement.
This was our first use or Airbnb and our first stay in Barcelona. This apartment was fantastically located in the Born district just round the corner from the Picasso Museum and amongst lovely little bars, bakeries and restaurants as well as small businesses selling their bespoke made on site wares. It was also very close to the metro which was the way to travel. 10 € for a 10 trip pass was excellent value. It was perfect for our needs.
We were myself, my wife and our 23 yr old son. The space was ideal in size but lacked comfort. The settee and the air chair were very uncomfortable but other than this all the functional aspects of the property were as described and the price we paid for our week was good value.
There was no internet access at the flat which we found out on arrival we could have paid extra for. In the end we didn't and we glad as so many bars and cafes had free wifi so we happily lived with out it.
If we stayed again we would find somewhere in the same district but a little more comfortable and maybe with a balcony or terrace to relax on.
Ana was very helpful and the apartment was the perfect location.
The brilliance of this apartment is it's location - (although a little hard to find at first) it was perfect for our stay in the Gothic area of Barcelona.
The apartment was clean, comfortable and tidy. Loli met us at the right time and place. It's a minute or two through the narrow streets to the church square where we would have breakfast. (Can't remember the cafe but it was the middle of the three that served a great breakfast and the waiters are fantastic, lovely coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice). A little further each way will get you to La Rambla or the Arc De Triumph, so perfectly located.
The down side of the apartment is that there's over 60 stairs up to it. It is basic but everything worked.
A welcome pack: Some coffee even packet type perhaps a map and a bottle or two of water would be nice and would make a big difference and cost little. Oh more than one toilet roll! Perhaps some new towels too.
I'd say if it were a night or two then there's no problem but for anything longer, something a little more plush would be better. The pictures really make the apartment look great and don't reflect the true style.
It's quite noisy even though it's up high; babies, dogs, a bit of music and....clapping?? during the night. Even though it's a few floors up I would still expect the windows to lock in the main room, they don't. In fact the wind could blow them open.
As guests are supposed to be quiet after 9:30 this is a little unfair that everyone else makes so much noise.
As I said, the beauty of this place is it's location, but it's definitely not a bad place at all.
We loved the apartment, everything was as stated. Clean, functional and spacious. The neighborhood was fantastic and friendly. Had an amazing time in an incredible city. Would love the opportunity of coming back and doing the whole trip over again.
Lovely apartment and the perfect location in the beautiful old part of the city. There were so many lovely coffee shops and restaurants moments from our apartment, as well as the beach walking distance away. A lovely time in Barcelona!
Loli was very friendly and always available on the phone. She was also happy to meet us at the apartment when we arrived even though our late flight meant that we didn't arrive until after midnight. And then she helped us carry our rather heavy bags up the stairs! She also came back later in the week and sorted out an internet connection for us, which worked fine.
Only drawbacks were that there were lots of stairs up to the apartment! But this is mentioned in the description so it wasn't a surprise. And it was a little loud at night- however, the flat is in such a fantastic, central location it really it is to be expected! Also, if you are planning on self-catering (which we weren't anyway!), there is only a small hob in the kitchen, so not ideal. However, there is a kettle, coffee- maker and fridge and, as I said, there are many lovely cafes and restaurants close by so it was never a problem for us.
Nice and clean house with a perfect location.
Do not expect a luxury house, but you will find every comfort you may need. Ana is always available for any need.
Hope to come back soon!
