Interaction with Guests
I'm usually around to greet my guests at check-in, but you'll be able to get the keys from the building's doorman if I'm not available.
Dazhi is a newly developed area located on the north side of Taipei City. It really has the best of both worlds for being very close to downtown yet clean quiet and extremely safe.
8 minute walk to Jiannan MRT
7 minute walk to Miramar/Shilin free shuttle
2 Minute walk to many bus stops
Direction from Taoyuan airport:
Take the shuttle bus to Songshan airport, then take the MRT brown line for 2 stops to Jianan station, and get out at exit 2 where it's a short walk from my place. Total travel time is slightly more than a hour depending on traffic.

This was our first airbnb experience and Victor was great. He promptly replied to questions we had prior to staying and was there to greet us on arrival. The apartment is nice and modern; however as per previous reviews the shower is quite small with hose shower head (typical Taipei) but still manageable. The area is lovely, with 7/11 downstairs, 8min walk to the train station and main shopping centre. There are a couple of nice cafes nearby as well as a dumpling stall. Overall would have no problem staying here again.
It was a pleasant stay at the loft. It was accurately represented in the photos but the place is starting to show some wear and tear. The bathroom is very tiny so for a person taller than 6ft it is not advised unless you have no problem with hunching over while showering then be my guest. The bathroom does get really wet sometimes on the floor but usually we leave the window open to dry it out. The place was clean as well and towels were provided but bring your own toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo and conditioner. There is a bottle of soap in the bathroom but we didn't use it since we decided to buy our own. MRT is a 5 minute to 10 minute walk and the area is really safe as well. My cousin who lives in Taiwan said the place is safe and the building is fairly new. There is also a guard 24hrs I believe. A plus is that there's a free shuttle that takes you to Shilin market @ Miramar Mall that operates till 10:30PM and when it stops, there are plenty of other buses to take to get back as well. There's also a 7/11 at the corner of the block which is a plus as well. An alternative to get to the place is to take a shuttle to songshan airport which was around 120NTD(~4USD) and then take the taxi which would be around $150 NTD which is around $5 USD since the train is pretty crowded seemingly at all times of the day.
Washer in the basement is 30NTD and only accepts 10NTD coins, you can ask the guard for change. Dryer is also 30NTD and only accepts 10NTD as well.
One crucial advice is that a lot of people seem to have trouble with the door as we did as well and took us 15 minutes to open the door on the first day which was our fault. For us the trick was to turn the key left only twice to lock it. Do not turn it a third time or you will have trouble unlocking it. We accidentally turned it a third time and the 15 minutes of trying to unlock it ensued.
Overall it was a pleasant stay and I would definitely recommend the place.
The bathroom is way too small for a person to take shower. The sink is tiny and I have difficulty brushing my teeth in the bathroom so I ended up have to do it in the kitchen.
It's a nice experience in Victor's apartment. It's clean, warm and comfortable to stay. Apart from the small bathroom, everything is good enough. And thank Victor's prompt reply whenever we need his help.

Hey airbnbers! I grew up in San Francisco and having been living in Taipei for the past 9 years. Besides my full time job, I love interior design and renovation as my listings are some of my own creations. If you're looking for a comfy spot to stay at in Taipei, please check it out!
