A charming original 1920's southwest home with kiva fireplace, courtyard & hottub for your enjoyment. Located 2 minutes from I-40 & I-25 & 10 min. walk to Old Town Plaza, Park, Museum District, great restaurants and coffee. Hablamos espa~nol también! (*NOTE*: hot tub unavailable Dec. through Feb.)

The space
We have been long time Air BnB guests, and are excited to now be hosts! Casita linda was originally a factory home built for the workers of the old Sawmill industry in the 20's. This 850 sq foot space has been renovated and re-modeled with all modern conveniences, but keeps the rustic southwestern charm of days past.

Guest access
The casita is physically attached to the main house via a walkway that is locked and sealed. Guests have a private entrance into our shared courtyard, and two private, keyed entrances into their casita. Parking for one vehicle is available at the courtyard entrance. Street parking also available.

Other things to note
Our space is listed for 2 people because there is only one bed. We do have a pull out couch for parties up to 4, but will increase the rate if more than 2 adults. We are family friendly. Please do let us know in advance, and we are happy to accommodate.

We have a dog, Zia, that lives in our main home. She is very sweet and not allowed in the casita. She may greet you upon arrival if she is outside. Individuals with severe dog allergies may want to re-consider booking.

Washer/dryer, mini-fridge, and microwave available in Casita for your use.

The hot tub is usually shutdown from Dec thru Feb. we try to keep it running as long as weather allows. Please inquire if unsure.

We have a plug-in electric double-burner stove. This is good for light cooking (i.e. eggs, heating water, warming food) . You will likely not be able to cook large meals with this equipment.

The Casita has a central AC/heat.

The Sawmill/Wells park area (our neighborhood) is a prime location for nearly every event taking place in the heart of Albuquerque. You are not only walking distance from historic Old Town, the museum district, and a beautiful park, but also a short one mile drive (or bike, or walk!) to downtown Albuquerque, Convention Center, Hotel Albuquerque, Hotel Chaco, and weekend farmer's market.

We are both child psychologists at the University of New Mexico. Krishna is half Iowan-half Indian and I am a Bolivian raised in Argentina, Ecuador, Venezuela and Texas. We met in Chicago and love to travel back to big cities but we have made the quiet and calm, beautiful sunsets and easy friendships of New Mexico our home. You will greatly enjoy the picturesque surroundings and rest calmly here.
