We had a lovely weekend at Cory's place. The space is great for a weekend getaway. The a/c coped with some really horrid humidity fairly well (a fan would be a welcome option for nights that aren't quite that bad). The location can't be beat, right off the main square. You can park your car for the whole weekend in the public parking lot for free and walk around town. Sharing the bathroom is a minor pain when the other room is occupied, but it's not a big deal. Would definitely stay again!
The room is absolutely lovely - spacious, tasteful, and private. There is a private entrance to their two guest rooms, which was really nice. There was tea and water waiting for me in the room when I arrived. The house is central, in easy walking distance to anything in the town, but the room itself is nice and quiet.
The room was just as described - large, clean and comfortable. The location was great and keys were easy to find. The only issues we had were with shower water temperature and noise from upstairs. The water ran cool at the end of my shower and when my boyfriend showered an hour later it was still not at all warm. We had planned to be out all day Saturday but due to rain we stopped back at the room intermittently and the noise from above (kid running, dog running and music) was normal household activity(in an old house with thin walls) but bothersome nonetheless.
Our stay at Corys place was perfect! She was very warm and helpful and the room is large and beautiful. No one else was there on the weekend we went so we didn't have to shar the bathroom but the setup is great so even if we did I don't think it would have been a problem! The location is prime, right in the heart of town! We will definitely be back!!
Loved this place!!! My girlfriend and I could not have been happier. It is only a few steps away from the center of town, completely private, roomy and soooo comfortable. Cory and Richard were gracious hosts, but also gave us our privacy. I would highly recommend it for a romantic getaway.
Cory's place was in such a convenient location and walking distance to the best restaurants and shopping in Woodstock. The room was clean and beautifully decorated. It was just as described on the website. Make sure to bring your own toiletries, including shampoo and soap- I believe it mentioned this on the listing but I overlooked it. We forgot our cell phone charger and Cory was quickly able to lend us one. She is quick to respond to questions/texts. A wonderful host and we would definitely stay here again!
