The "Ferienhof Ellert" is a remaining farm in a single location in the middle of Holstein Switzerland and only about 8 km from the fine sandy Sehlendorfer beach. The land around the holiday farm was transformed by the Nature Conservation Foundation into an ecological pasture landscape with biotopes and woody plants. There are no more animals on the farm itself, except for the two farm cats "Anni" and "Frieda". Holstein mares will graze on the farm pastures in the summer of 2025.

The space
The apartment is on the ground floor with direct access to the large garden with a grill, fireplace and lawn. The apartment is designed for a maximum of 2 adults (double bed) and 2 children (bunk bed). Rental only in the months of April to October with a minimum stay of 7 nights. Prices include bed linen, towels and final cleaning.

The double bed in the bedroom is 200 x 200 cm and the bunk beds in the children's room are 90 x 190 cm each.

Wi-Fi is currently only available to a limited extent, but not in the apartment itself. For 2025, however, there is hope for fiber optic connection, the empty pipes for this were already laid in 2024.

Although absolutely quiet, you can reach the surrounding small towns of Lütjenburg (10 km), Oldenburg/Holst. (15 km), Eutin (20 km), Malente (20 km) or the district town of Plön (30 km) in a maximum of 30 minutes by car.
The state capital of Kiel and the Hanseatic city of Lübeck are about 40 minutes away by car.

From the Ferienhof - Ellert there are excellent conditions for hiking on foot or by bike. The nearby 600 hectare forest invites you to hike towards "Bungsberg", the highest elevation of Schleswig-Holstein at 168 m.

The apartment "Peerstall" has its own entrance and direct access to the large garden with barbecue area, fireplace and children's swing. In the farmhouse, the utility room with washing machine and dryer can be used for a fee. There is a ping pong table in the large hall.

In all 8 villages of our vacation community of Blekendorf, a spa tax is levied.

Children are exempt from the spa tax.

In the high season, it is €3 per adult. Included is parking at Sehlendorfer beach and the benefits of the Ostseecard.

The "Peerstall" apartment on the ground floor is suitable for couples or families with a maximum of 2 children. For couples or singles looking for a cheap vacation home in the middle of nature, there are other accommodations with simple self-catering facilities on the upper floor of the old farmhouse (these are the accommodations "Nordwind," "Ostwind" and "Westwind" for a maximum of 2 people each).

For the navigation system: 24327 Blekendorf, Ellert 3
Arrival from Hamburg via the BAB 1 Lübeck towards Fehmarn. Exit AS Pelzerhaken/Grömitz - Altenkrempe - Schönwalde - Hansühn - Nessendorf. In Nessendorf, turn left onto Wiesengrund Street, after about 800 m turn left onto the concrete track towards Ellert. Drive through the concrete track 1 km to the end, there you will come directly to the Ferienhof-Ellert.
Important: Between Schönwalde and Hansühn, do not trust the navigation system if it suggests a turn to the left at Neutestorf, but continue to the village of Hansühn. Only then turn left towards Nessendorf.

Lives in Blekendorf, Germany
Growing up on the farm, then 43 years in the police service and now retired. The holiday guest rental with farm holidays started in 1972 and will be continued by me, after the death of my parents, at the rest farm. The holiday children from then still enjoy vacationing with their families on the Ferienhof-Ellert in a quiet location and yet not far from the Baltic Sea beach. The accommodations are simple but functional and partly nostalgic. The farmhouse was built in 1791. In addition to a ground floor apartment with its own entrance, there are other inexpensive accommodations on the upper floor of the farmhouse with shower room and kitchen.
