Comfy Queen bed in the heart of Chicago 2 blocks from the El train. We are a 10 min train ride from downtown and about a 45 min ride from the airports. We live in a very artistic, lively neighborhood, near a beautiful park, museum, and good food.

The Space

Hello, my name is Andrea, when I'm not traveling, I love bringing the world to my home through hosting. I fell in love with hosting as an exchange student and therefore have a soft spot for exchange students.
Our home is kid friendly, bright, spacious and homey. It is an urban style apartment, very trendy. We have many cafe's, vintage shops and art studios within walking distance.
Our neighborhood Pilsen is very artsy, affordable and rich in Mexican Culture. It's near downtown, UIC, Medical District, McCormick Place and public transportation (2 blocks to pink line and 1 block Damen bus). We also live across the street from a free museum and park with tons of activities (free pool, gym small fee).
My household consists of myself, my husband, and three daughters. We have a 4 year old and 2 year old twins. We would allow our guests to cook, but we ask that they clean up when they are done as well as keep their space clean. We will provide a continental breakfast of coffee, tea, waffles, and fruit. We keep our home very clean, especially for our children, we are looking for someone who shares the same living style, so we can all get along. We only have one bathroom which is shared. If this sounds like a fit for you please feel free to contact me. We look forward to meeting you and sharing our home.

Guest Access

guest will have access to the kitchen, bathroom, their room, and living room. There is also a public pool across the street they can access during open swim hours. Guest will also have access to open public parking.

Interaction with Guests

We interact with guests as much as they like and our schedules permit. Guests are always welcomed to join us out for a night on the town if we go out and we also invite guests to family parties, we just put out invitations to guests and enjoy new company but would never awkwardly pressure anyone. We also respect guests privacy, so if they do not want to interact we totally understand. We know they may have full agendas and just want to sleep when they get home.

The Neighborhood

I love how our neighborhood is covered in murals and bright colors. Its very artistic and rich in Mexican culture. The people are pretty friendly and inviting and proud to be from Pilsen. We are also located right in the heart of chicago, so everything is just a short train ride away. Pilsen also has a great lively energy.

Getting Around

Yes the Pink line train is 2 blocks away and the the orange line is also close by. We are also a block from the Damen bus.

Other Things to Note

We have a dog so not a good place for anyone allergic to dogs.

House Rules

We are very clean and expect our guests to be cleanly. We take pride in having a clean home. We also take off our shoes when entering our home, so guests must take off their shoes. Guests would be allowed to cook, we just ask that they would wipe down premises and do dishes when they are done. Other than that we really don't have a curfew, just let us know if you plan on coming home late so we can put dog away so barking does not wake up girls. We don't mean to sound so strict but we would rather lay out the rules now and ensure our guests they are welcomed to a clean and cozy home.
