The cottage is situated across the drive from my own home both of which are down a private drive, away from the street. It is Furnished, has Fridge/Freezer, oven and washing machine and heat pump. It is open plan with rooms off the main living area ie, kitchen, bathroom and 2 small bedrooms. The bedrooms have Queen Beds and built in wardrobes in both rooms. This is a wonderful spot, somehow tucked into the wilderness, yet still in the city. We loved it! The birdsong was wonderful. We totally recommend, especially if you don't need the downtown kinda thing. We would definitely stay again.
Our stay at the Little Valley Cottage was very pleasant. It was SO helpful of Gayle to send the detailed directions on all the landmarks as the entrance lane is very small and quite long so that one thinks that you have turned the wrong way, but whenever we thought , Oh No, something is wrong there was her helpful photo of the turn. Our cottage was well set up with great dishes and things for cooking and even a yummy breakfast treat. We found the setting to be so beautiful and Gayle's garden is so amazing. We were very comfortable for our 4 nights with a grocery handy and the botanical garden so pleasant. W spent nearly a day in it. We also took the bus downtown two times so that we didn't have to deal with traffic in the city It worked well. We also took a day on Otago peninsula and booked a trip with Monarch and then the albatross center. We did that downtown at the I center. I would recommend that to others. It turned out that we did not meet Gayle but everything was as stated and more. Thanks for a great stay, Gayle.
Excellent accommodation. My Italian friend and I had a great time at Gayle's cottage. We loved the location- quiet and peaceful surrounded by native bush yet close to the city. The cottage is equipped with everything you need to prepare your own meals. There's plenty of space and the two double bedrooms are a good size. We'd love to return!
Gayle was a lovely host. She left us milk and cookies in the fridge for when we arrived. The cottage is surrounded by lovely gardens and makes you feel like you're in the country while just being a short drive to downtown. The cottage was perfect for four people - plenty of room to cook and socialize. The heater kept us toasty on an unusually cool summer day. Though generally clean and tidy, it could go for a deep clean. Thanks for a great stay Gayle!
This house is really clean and comfortable. We have a great day in your house.

About the Host, Gayle
So a little bit about me. I have two daughters, one son-n-law and four wonderful grandchildren. I work at the Polytechnic as a Business Intelligence Analyst and developer and I live in a big oldish house surrounded by about 5 acres of bush, lawns and gardens. I'm very much about my family, my home and gardens and in the past few years have discovered a passion for travel.
