I stayed at Gloria's place for one month.
It was really a perfect choice. Gloria and her boyfriend where so nice and very helpful in every situation.
Gloria is a very open minded person and we really had some good talks.
The room and the bathroom have an optimal size for your stay in Rome. It is very private because of the distance between the two bedrooms.
The cleaning woman came every week to clean the room and to change the sheets.
The kitchen is very well equipped and there is everything you need.
Next to the door there are so many good restaurants.
THANK YOU GLORIA FOR A VERY NICE STAY :-)
I spend a really really good time in Glorias design-apartment. The flat is really clean and tidy, the room was perfect for me, an ideal size - with all necessary furniture. Also the bathroom is embellished on a grand scale. I really liked the district of the apartment, its really beautiful with nice shops, bars etc. not directly in the city and not so crowded or noisy in the night. Villa Ada is a big park just a few minutes by walk away, an ideal place to relax and hang out on sunny days. To go to the city center or termini took me about 15-20min by bus or tram (public transport in rome is a bit chaotic). All in all the stay in Rome and in this cool accommodation was perfect for me. I can really recommend it to everyone AND especially Gloria is a helpful host, and always in a good mood! :)
I had a really great experience staying at the apartment.
The place was spacious, with a tidy, minimalist look that was beautiful in its simplicity. My room had a large, queen-sized bed with large shelves and a closet. However, there's no table though so you have to do your work outside in the kitchen or living room.
The living room was grand, complete with a great sound system, projector, and blu-ray player; Plenty of room to have a lot of friends over.
The kitchen was also spacious well equipped with all the pots, pans and dishes you'd need for all your home cooking. There's a stove top, microwave, sink, dishwasher, refrigerator/freezer and a pantry to keep all of your food.
There is also a clothes washer and a board for clothes to dry.
Gloria was a very nice and thoughtful host. Her English is very good, she carefully and thoughtfully wrote up instructions on how to live in the apartment and is more than willing to help you if needed.
Outside, there's a nice baguette place run by friendly couple, great and affordable Italian restaurants nearby, grocery stores, electronic stores and convenience stores and within walking distance to Villa Borghese, a lovely with museums steeped Rome's deep history.
However, the apartment is a bit far from the metro and the buses that I normally rode on was always had an inconsistant stop time. It was either ten minutes early, or ten minutes late. You can access a website to track the bus at
Minor quibbling aside, I had a great experience with the apartment and would definitely recommend it to anybody interested in staying in Rome.
I am a very open-minded person, I love travelling and I always try to live as much as possible the real everyday life of the place where I go, trying not to be only a dumb tourist!
This is why I like the idea of meeting people around the world and exchange knowledge and opinions.
I am passionate of Art, Classical music, Jazz (I have a piano at home, and I try to find the time to play, sometimes) and Cinema. I work all day and when I go back home I like to cook for the people I love, and have a good time together.
My home is very cosy, but also very tidy and clean. I think I need order to deal with my wild personality :)
