Sweet, Sunny Room - Heart of SOMA

Apartment - Private room · Harrison St, San Francisco, CA 94103, United States

The Space

I'm opening up my sweet, sunny room in a newly renovated apartment (hardwood floors, beautiful kitchen, in-unit laundry, fireplace, weekly cleaning), with awesome flat mates up.

Located in the heart of SOMA, right on the border with the Mission district, our apartment is centrally located in the middle of the SF action.
Located near the offices of many Tech Startups, you'll find it a short walking commute if you're staying here for work. Need to go down to the Valley? We're walking distance to the 4th St Caltrain station.
Here for a conference at Moscone Center or Yerba Buena? It will be a 15 minute walk.
Visiting the city to see the sights? Don't stay in the Tenderloin. You can hop on the 47 bus line and be in fisherman's wharf in less than a half hour.
Want to grab a bite to eat? There are too many restaurants nearby to list here, and the Mission is just 10 minutes away. Walking.
Want to go out and explore the nightlife? Plenty of bars in the area. Check out Raven (best cocktails in the city) or Bloodhound for some cool ambience.
Need to do some grocery shopping? Trader Joe's is literally one block away and open until 10 pm every night. So is Costco, Rainbow Market and Foods Co.
You get the idea. This location is hard to beat in San Francisco. And now you can stay here.

There are two bathrooms, one with a shower and one with a tub. A large kitchen includes stainless steel, up to date appliances and gas stove. Washer and dryer are in the unit and available for your use. You can bring your bike up to the unit's level and hang it at our bike parking.

Have any special needs? Just ask, happy to accommodate. I look forward to meeting you,

  • The place is as described. Andres was excellent at replying to my email and organized the accommodations very quickly. His house mates are really nice and welcoming, though didn't get to spend too much time as I was there for a conference. The provided towels and checked in a few times to ensure the stay was comfortable. Overall great experience.

  • Staying with Andres was great! He is a very hospitable host and the room was very clean when I arrived. The roommates are also very nice as well, which is a plus when your new to an area. I definitely would recommend this place.

  • During my stay at Andres's SOMA apartment, he was a really great host. He texted me a couple of times just to make sure that I had everything I needed and that I was comfortable. The room was clean and it had a closet and a dresser for storage; this was key for me because I stayed at Andres's as I was transitioning to permanent housing in the city. If you're looking for a clean room with friendly roommates in a great part of town, then this is the room to book.

  • Andres was a perfect host. The apartment is in a great condition with nice roommates who are willing to help you with anything or show you around the city.

  • Andres was a great host - very hospitable and accommodating. The place was a 20min walk to my work place downtown - very convenient to city and mission district.

  • Andres is a great host ! Very helpful and chilling, I'd say this is the best place to stay in San Francisco. He's always willing to show around, gives great advices on the neiboorhood and the city. I'd definitely go back if I needed to. Plus, the flat is clean and the room is spacious.
    Cheers man !

  • I stayed at Andres's place while working in SF. I had a great time. Andres is welcoming, offers great wine and interesting memorable conversation. The room was large the apartment clean and quiet, just perfect. Situated in the heart of SOMA, the up and coming place to be in SF with bars, clubs and all that shebang just around the corner. I recommend it, having stayed 7 weeks in different places with different people in SF. Andres and the apartment was by far the best. I felt very comfortable and happy there. I will be back, Andrea's you have been warned.

  • Friendly household, helpful/chill roommates (thanks, Horatio!), and good host (thanks, Andres!).

Andres is a really cool guy :) Was flexible and reasonable with the accommodations, and was very generous with info about the area - where to go for nightlife, where to go to feed yourself, etc. The place was pretty nice and decently well kept, and the area is great (as long as you're used to urban living - nothing too scary, just need to keep your city wits about you).

  • I had a really good time at Andres place. He has a nice, big and light room equipped with everything you need and the transfer of the keys and information was organized very well. The flatmates are not very often around, but when you see them they are very friendly and helpful in case something is needed. Soma is a good location to explore various places in SF, the mission, Downtown and also the Lower Haight area are close.

  • Hi,
Our stay at Andres room was a very disappointing adventure, due to the following facts:
    * It was not clean: lots of hair on the floor of the bathroom (picture available)
    * the toilet in the restroom was clogged several times (picture available)
    * we could smell cat's urine in the whole flat, including the room which was pretty annoying .
    * there was no possibility to unlock the room's door after locking it from inside which is pretty annoying knowing you have to share the flat with complete strangers. We found out later we didn't have a key to unlock (pls see the next bullet) as Andres did not inform us about it.
    * On the first day we locked the door from inside, taken into mind one of the keys could be used to unlock after returning. At the moment we returned we couldn't open the door of 'our' room so we could not go to sleep. In the end we had to call a locksmith to unlock the door professionally, for $ 110,= paid by us. (picture of the invoice available)
    * Andres did nothing to compensate (except for vague promises in a few e-mails) our inconvenience and more specific he was not willing to indemnify us for the costs to unlock the door.

So although the price per night is not expensive it's not worth it and Andres is according to our opinion not a reliable person.

I'm a startup founder living in San Francisco. Originally from Northwestern Spain, I've lived in the UK (boarding school), Barcelona, East Coast (Providence, NYC, Boston), and I finally took the plunge and moved to SF to get more time on my motorcycle and out on the water kiteboarding, my main time sink as of recent. Distractions aside I'm working on making the world an easier place to share what you have so we can all live needing less. I love good food and cooking, meeting new people and the combination of the two - having a great meal with good company. Always happy to share recommendations for good places to go, good things to see and do. Even if you're not staying at my place, feel free to ask. I hope you enjoy your time in SF. It's a wonderful place.
