A Family run pension studio in an excellent location right in the centre of the Island. It's just a 15 minute walk into the capital town of Thira, and a 10 minute bus ride to the beach.
Located in the traditional village of Karterados where car & moped rental offices, coffee bars, tavernas, travel offices and mini-markets, plus a laundry and a bakery, are all close by.
Free transfer from the port or airport is offered upon arrival, and free parking is available right next to the hotel. Helen and her husband will be happy to assist guests with ticket service, guided island tours and car or bike rentals.
Helen will do her utmost to make your stay an enjoyable one!
Karterados village is about a 20 minute walk from Thira main town. The rest of the island is accessible via bus. We rented a car to get around which Helen helped us to organise. The room itself was clean and good value. The pool area was nice. Helen was a good host. Very friendly and knowledgable about the island.
Helen was so kind and lovely- She had someone pick us up at the port which was very convenient, and when we arrived, she gave us a thorough explanation of the place and the city. She made us feel very comfortable and answered all our questions with detail. Even though we only stayed for one night, I highly recommend staying here- close to the bus stop which is one stop from Thira.
Helen and her family were very welcoming, delivering us to and from the airport and taking very good care of us the entire time we were on Santorini.
The accommodations are clean, cool, and surrounded by beautiful, lush foliage. We didn't try out the pool (our little one loves the beach so much we headed straight to nearby Monolithos Beach every morning) but it looked very inviting.
Helen was a wealth of information about the area, and helped us rent a small car from a family friend for a very good rate, and he even made sure we had an excellent car seat for our little girl. Much appreciated.
With a car to hop around the island, and Helen's help, we had a fantastic time visiting the sites of Santorini and enjoying the fantastic local foods and wines.
What an amazing place to stay! Helen and her family are incredibly gracious. The suites are clean and tidy. The neighborhood is quiet and near all needed amenities. If I return to Santorini I will stay with Helen again.
Helen was super welcoming and made us feel at home. She had the answer to any question we had and recommended a great restaurant to watch the sunset from in Thira. The included airport transfers are definitely a plus as well! Only downside was the marble floors in the rooms which made the room a tad bit cooler (which would definitely be a plus during the hotter months). If I visit santorini again, I will definitely stay with Helen without a doubt.
Helen is really friendly. She prepared some cookies for us cause we are arrived late. She sent his son-in-law to take us to her hotel. You can buy boat ticket to volcano here. And you can book a tour with a nice guide here. If you wanna go to airport early, Henlen can help you book a taxi. The room is clean and comfortable.
Helen was a great host. Her son-in-law picked us up at the port and Helen was great at suggesting tips for our trip, recommending restaurants as well as things to see and do. Her place is exactly as pictured in the listing, it is near the centre of the island close to many restaurants, a super market, bakery and only about 15-20 minute walk to the main city Fira. Highly recommend and I hope to stay again some day!
