  • My best friend and i stayed at pension george for nearly a week and had an amazig time. Helen was just fabulous ad orgnized activities for us by taking care of all the reservations. The room was lovely and the location was key. The pool was also very enjoyable. We had wanted to spend a few nights in one of their cave houses but they were not available. However on our second to last day, we received a cute note under our door (the note written by Helen said she had a surprise for us). The surprise was that a cave house had been made available and she offered us a stay for the last night which was also amazing! This was such a good action done by a purely good heart. Transportation was never an issue Helen made sure we got everywhere easily with the help of her husband and Dimitri. Absolutely loved our stay. No pther place we rather rent in Santorini

  • Helen was a very warm, kind and attentive host. She provided pick-up at the port, which was really convenient. Her place is really beautiful - flowers everywhere with a nice pool. The room is spacious and clean. The pension is near the bus stop, which takes you to wherever on the island. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there.

  • It is rare to find people Helen and her family!!!

We stayed at Helen's small, 20 room hotel and it was absolutely more than we expected. Very clean, organised, quiet and tranquil for anyone looking for a relaxed time in Santorini. From port pick-ups to airport drop-offs, having coffee made for us at any time during the day, receiving local (email hidden)ey do it all without any fuss, but with a HUGE smile :D

Look no further if you're going to Santorini. You would be wasting your money staying somewhere else.

  • We stayed here for 4 nights and overall had a good time. The hotel room itself was very basic but the grounds and the pool area were really pretty with flowers and gardens everywhere. Our room was below ground level (one level below the pool) so it felt a bit like a cave. The beds and sheets are not the greatest but for $25 a night you can't really complain. The location was walking distance to Thira but to get to any beaches you have to take a bus or rent an ATV.

  • Helen's wonderful hotel made our trip in Santorini much more pleasant! She patiently recommended and explained the places we ought to visit and provided us with wonderful service and warm welcome. The place is nice and clean. I will not hesitate to choose Pension George for my future visit to Santorini!

  • Helen's family is very nice. They offered a lot of help for our trip in Santorini. Our room is just beside the entrance of backyard. It has a beautiful balcony, where you can have your breakfast. The apartment is quite nice. You have the fridge and kitchen. It is kind of hotel thus you don't share the living space with the host. The location is in a village from where you can walk 20 minutes or take bus to the center of Fira and the other places. In 5-10 minutes you can walk to a supermarket and an excellent bakery where we tried some delicious traditional Cretan desserts. We enjoy our stay in Santorini by Helen.

  • Staying at this little hotel was great. A little walk from Fira and the seafood restaurant up the street is amazing. This is a really quiet place, Helen and everyone were very accommodating and friendly. We would recommend it!

  • We had a wonderful time, the whole host family is amazing. The son in law picked us up and was soooo friendly & welcoming. He gave us great honest reviews of where to go and eat. Helen was also extremely helpful. The room was clean and the building, court yard garden & pool was beautiful!!!!!! They made our experience in Santorini unforgettable. Can't wait to go back!!!

  • Helen is an amazing, kind and attentive host! We could not have been more pleased with our stay on Santorini. A list of things that are great about this place, Helen and her family:
    - The quoted 10-15 walk to Fira is accurate and easy to follow
    - Breakfast is worth 6 Euros a day; both delicious and filling!
    - Helen had her son in law pick us up from the port and drop us off, very convenient
    - Helen helped us book an excursion to the caldera and it went as expected and was a great trip
    - There is a small grocery, a bakery and several restaurants less than five minutes walk
    - The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable
    - The weather was too cool for us to go in the pool, but it looked very relaxing and we were sorry it wasn't warmer for us to go in.

Overall, this is a great and affordable place to stay that is not in Fira, but very reasonably close. You should stay here. Have fun!
