♜ The room / Your room
Your room is a very private space, it is practically a miniature apartment, a 400 sqft. loft inside the stunning 3000+ sqft. warehouse.

Your room is divided into two parts a private lounging area full of tables, cushions, and couches; perfect for working, relaxing or reading. There is also a luxurious sleeping quarters, with the most comfortable king size bed known to man (I tried 25+ beds). A 30' wall of windows floods this space with beautiful light through out the day, if you want to sleep during the day just close the blackout curtains.

⌘ About us:
We live, play, learn, and build, in a creative community space in the mission. We make art. We make companies. We host events. We cook. We party.

There are three or four of us depending on the winds. The space is huge and full of light. This is more than just a space, it's a community of artists and entrepreneurs who constantly visit the loft. It's a salon of creatives. We've been featured in a variety of press including the New York Times, the New Yorker, the Chronicle, the Wall Street Journal and indie music magazine Pitchfork.

This is your opportunity to live in a giant Andy Warhol style warehouse art loft, in the best location in San Francisco, right next to BART, Valencia St., and Dolores Park.

We'd love to host you and welcome you into our little community of creatives. We are the city, if you want to know about the best events going on during your stay just ask, if you want to be introduced to someone in the entrepreneurial community let us know.

Oh and it doesn't hurt that we're next to the best coffee shops, bars, restaurants, parks, and creative art/music scene in SF.

Experience the living arrangement of a lifetime.

  • This place is AMAZING!
We stayed at Nick's room for 4 nights and our time in SF couldn't have been better.
The SUB is perfect located (close to many bars/restaurants and cool shops), in the heart of the Mission District.
We didn't have the chance to meet Nick, but the communication with him was very easy and friendly. He seems to be a great guy and the guys who live/work there were very respectful and kind.
We were luck to find this place!
The room is HUGE and the mattress is the best ever!
    Thanks, Nick!

  • I loved the awesome warehouse space. It was incredibly cool. My stay at Nick's represents what I love about AirBnB, being able to find unusual places for a reasonable price.

The place was HUGE. Nick's room was divided into two sections -- sleeping area and a sitting area. There's an enormous common area. It's truly spacious. The warehouse is clean and neat. I was very comfortable the entire time. It's also fairly quiet for the most part. Despite the fact that there were other people around, it was very easy to get my own quiet time and often I felt that I was "alone" even though other people were around in their own bedrooms.

I wasn't around much because I was in town for work. But the other residents were very nice and polite. They were friendly and absolutely willing to be helpful to make my stay a good one.

The only part that I was concerned about was the shower, but seriously it wasn't a problem. It was easy to tell when someone was in the shower. Since it was all the way in the back and there was a long private walkway, you got plenty of privacy.

Nick was very prompt with responding to emails.

    I absolutely recommend this place.

  • Super cool place in an amazing location. It has a real SF vibe. Room itself is big and the whole place is huge, so you feel like having lot of space.

  • Nick wasn't in town during my stay, so I didn't get to meet him... but communicating with him via email was super fast and easy! He was very quick to respond to any questions i had. Most of the people who usually live in the space were also gone because of the holidays, so the place was eerily quiet. this is not a bad thing at all - just unexpected. the room was huge, just as described and pictured in the listing! the bed was insanely comfy!!!!!!! the space is right in the mission, and walking distance to public transport and awesome shops, cafes, and bars. while the space is super secure, the neighborhood is a little gritty... not super dangerous, but can be a little scary walking alone at night. the good thing though, is that a 2 minute walk brings you to the main (busier and safer) street! despite this minor concern, i'd definitely recommend this place to others, and i'd definitely stay here again!

  • We had an incredible weekend stay at Nick's space "The Sub". The space was huge and we seemed to have it all to ourselves for most of our stay. The flatmates that we did meet and cross paths with were all super lovely and welcoming. The location was extremely convenient as it was right in the heart of the Mission district and close to all of our interests. We didn't have much trouble with street parking either, found it pretty easy to grab a metered spot on the same block. The check in process was very smooth and organized. Nick sent very clear and thorough instructions on the location and accessing the space with door codes (which we found very convenient). Only real downside was the communal style washroom that didn't provide very much privacy for the shower. All in all an excellent stay we wish would have lasted longer. Hopefully we can have another opportunity to stay in this fantastic space.
Thanks so much to Nick and the rest of the Sub Community for their hospitality!

  • This place is amazing, really beautiful and well-decorated. The atmosphere in this loft represents the perfect atmosphere of San Francisco, and the flat is placed in the best area of SF, in Mission District. Nick's room is really cozy and confortable.I had a really good experience there. I definitly recommande this place.

  • Nick's place is amazing! Right smack bang in the mission district (the BART is literally 2 blocks away) with an inspiring group of friendly flatmates. Definitely one of the more unique spaces on airbnb (there is a giant dollhouse in the middle of the warehouse). This was a great base while we explored SF :-)

  • Nick's space was awesome - clean, comfortable and a really cool vibe! I would recommend it in an instant to anyone traveling to SF and I would say the apartment was definitely a highlight of my trip. Also, Nick is a flawless host! He was extremely helpful with arranging out itinerary, receptive, easy to reach and very nice. I was extremely pleased with the overall experience!
