Near Lat Prao BTS, on a quite alley with good cable True internet, a desk and a kitchen. Monthly availability.
This is a condo I renovated in 2005. The building is a bit older but the space is very nice with huge, north facing windows. The room was renovated in a modern style, with black granite, concrete floor and large kitchen.
The room has WiFi, with fast internet. Yes, you can work from here and use multiple devices.
Easy to get to, all you need to say is "Lat Prao 35", never had a taxi not know it.
In the area is a convenience store, local restaurants, local massage and laundry. All at local prices.

Have been living few months in the condo. Good location, big space, nice view and real Thai without tourists. Found everything I need (markets, food, etc.) around place. Bryan and Apple were very nice and responsive. P.S. It's also quiet and comfortable enough for freelance work.
The reservation was canceled 44 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Stayed for a month while taking a course in Bangkok and this place was great. Good location with convenience stores, laundry and street food vendors all nearby. About a 10-15 min walk to the Lad Prao MRT station. The apartment building has seen better days, but the apartment itself is spacious and has all the needed amenities, and comes equipped with an eclectic selection of cookware and clothes hangers (which I'm guessing are left-overs from generous previous tenants). There is also a washing machine which I never quite figured out how to use...
I've not met Bryan in person, but he is very responsive via email or phone. Never had any issues communicating with him. Overall a very enjoyable stay!
I stayed during two full weeks in Bryan's: "Large, modern condo w/kitchen wifi" condominium and was very happy. :-) :-)) The apartment is conveniently located in a Soi on Thanon Lad Phrao. The bus station on main road is reachable within few minutes of walk. Several interesting and so typically local street food outlets as well as little restaurants are scattered just minutes away in the Soi. The quietness is amazing for such a location. WiFi worked well and I could use my laptop and even my smart phone without any restriction. There is a kitchen with cooking possibility and it was exactly what I wanted as I enjoy cooking my own food. Bryan made sure clean towels were on hand for me when I arrived. The very comfortable king size bed enabled me to sleep peacefully. The wardrobe was welcome as I could hang my clothes. But now to the highlight of Bryan’s place... the view over the city... and as Bryan’s condo is on the 15th floor a nice little breeze is blowing through the open windows... simply fantastic :-)))) Overall a very good experience and especially for those who love/need to sleep in a quiet location. Yet relatively close to the bustling life of Bangkok with all its interesting spots to discover. :-) :-)) :-))) THANK YOU VERY MUCH Bryan for having hosted me and THANK YOU VERY MUCH for the lift you gave me with your car during my stay. :-) :-)). :-) :-)) I’m looking forward to come back and to stay again in your place and if in the meantime you wish to discover Phuket, you will be welcome in any of my accommodations. :-)) :-))) :-))) See you soon. Philippe
I have to agree with the previous reviewer, the apartment is great indeed! Everything works well, it's very comfy, quiet and good value. Wifi works well. In terms of transports it is a bit far away from the buzz and action, but that was exactly what I was looking for. I needed a quiet place for work and this was perfect for that. The closest MRT is 10-15 minutes walking distance. And if you're not into walking, there are motorbike taxes 2 minutes away from the condo and taxes pass often from the street. The area is very local, in the first week I saw only 3 other Westerners in the neighborhood. I have no complaints. Bryan was very quick in responding any questions I had. Everything worked very well. I would highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a good local neighborhood and would like to experience something that is not too touristy. I already miss it.
The first thing to say is that the apartment is great. It's very spacious, nicely furnished, the bed is comfortable. The kitchen and bathroom are quite new and of a high standard. And then, of course, there's the view, which is amazing.
The internet connection works pretty well. Very well for Thailand. It comes and goes but it's fine for everyday purposes and (website hidden) is reasonable most of the time.
The building is fairly old, but everything works, including most importantly the lifts (elevators). The staff are very friendly and... I think the word is "punctilious" - I've never before been saluted every time I leave a building before.
As for the location - it depends a bit on how well you know Bangkok and what you want. This is real, Thai Bangkok. Not tourist territory at all. Having said that, it's easy to access the all-important MRT and Skytrain stations. And the Lat Phrao district itself is well worth exploring. Basically, you walk down to the end of the soi and somehow you want to turn right. If you keep going for long enough, you get to an area with lots of amazing Thai restaurants, a couple of big shopping malls, a few studenty bars and hangouts. The immediate area around the apartment is more workaday but there are places (stalls and sit-down) to eat... of somewhat mixed quality but that's all part of the Thailand fun.
Of course you can get taxis and motorcycle taxis, but I highly recommend taking the bus. Most useful bus route: walk down to main road, cross footbridge, look for the bus stop 20 yards ahead of you, and wait for the pink bus number 8 (I never had to wait more than 5 minutes). For a flat fare of currently 8 baht (just jump on and pay the conductor, and have coins or a 20 baht note) it will take you to the MRT, to Chatuchak Market, to the Skytrain and even on to Aree (for really nice restaurants). How long it takes to actually get there depends on the astonishing Bangkok traffic on the Lat Phrao and Phahon Yothin roads. But Lat Phrao MRT station is on average about 5 minutes by bus. And the view is always interesting.
Although the area is pretty busy and often hectic, the apartment itself is an oasis of calm and if you open the windows all you will hear is the birds.
Last but certainly not least, Bryan is a welcoming, friendly and easygoing guy and it was a pleasure to meet him. Whenever there were any issues he was quick to respond and always helpful. (Even posting my glasses to me when I accidentally left them behind.)
So a high recommendation. Definitely more real than the tourist experience. An authentic Bangkok experience with authentic Western conveniences.

Hi I'm Bryan, an expat from USA. I have been living in Thailand for more than 15 years now. In Thailand I ride motorcycles, try and eat good food, enjoy time with my family and geek out a bit too much.
I'm currently helping landlords list their properties on airbnb.
