This recently remodeled home is new to the Portland market. It's not the run of the mill vacation rental. It is designed by Encircle Design and Build using reclaimed and local materials and loaded with unique touches. Radiant floor heat, concrete counters, natural light, and modern tiles makes this vacation rental a design haven.
Is simply perfect. The house sits in the heart of Alberta Street, Portland's most vibrant funky neighborhood. You can walk to a multitude of restaurants, bars, and stores. Inner NE Portland is centrally located so visiting other neighborhoods or going downtown is a few minutes drive. The house is 15 minutes from the airport. There is one parking spot off street and plenty of free parking on the street. The bus stop is 2 blocks from the house making public transport a breeze.
One major perk about renting this house is the coupons our lovely neighbors have shared for our guests. Frock Boutique, Tin Shed, Garnish, Digs Inside and Out, Mimosa Studios, Bin 21, Cork Bottle Shop, Crafty Wonderland....You get discounts to all these wonderful places! So eat, drink and shop- all a stroll away and all at a discounted price!
A large outdoor patio with built in benches, outdoor table and comfortable lounge chairs greet you outside you as you enter the property. Inside an open living room (with tv, cable, wifi, and I-Pod hook up), dining room and kitchen (fully stocked from coffee grinder to blender) make the common areas a perfect place to hang out with family and friends during your vacation. Reclaimed materials, and locally sourced items adorn the house giving it a true Portland feel.
3 bedrooms allow for comfortable sleeping for 6 people. The first and second bedrooms have queen beds with comfortable mattresses and linens. The third bedroom has 2 twin beds which can be pushed together to form a queen bed if desired.
The side yard has a large picnic tabe, super cool kids play structure, teeter-tooter, and yard games. A perfect spot for guests to relax and kids to run!
For larger groups, this home can be rented with the upper unit (https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/801318). The upper unit has 4 bedrooms and can fit an additional 8-9 guests.
Home was very clean, and had some really fun finishes in every room. I used this home for a photo shoot, and it worked perfectly. Michelle was prompt in responding and super accommodating. Great experience, would stay here again.
Amazing house in great location! I would definitely stay again.
We had staff in from D.C. and they loved staying at Michelle's house! They said it was clean, modern, and ideally located.
This unit is in a great location in a fun city. There was a big group of us staying and everyone enjoyed themselves. It was easy to get to, check in and check out. Everything we needed was there.
Low Gear was a great find! Modern digs, very comfortable with great space. Location is ideal giving you the option of going out to one of the many stellar restaurants (all within walking distance) or, if you'd prefer, cooking in with the house's fantastic kitchen. Jen was very responsive and easy to communicate with.
The place was very clean and comfortable. Excellent location.
Amazing location and really cool place. Easy parking and a super friendly kitty (neighbor cat?) that only wanted to greet us and sneak inside.
Wonderful place - comfortable, well equipped, close to great food and coffee! We loved our stay.
Terrific location on Alberta with lots of cafes, restaurants, and shops to explore. The apartment was as described, except I was put off by the concrete floors throughout the place. In winter, the floors would be cold. It's very clean and comfortable, very IKEA. I was satisfied with the property for the most part, but in this lower-level, basement unit, the bedrooms have no views except for cute gnome displays out the window. That's not a problem, but the one bedroom has the garbage containers outside and a play area. I imagine the play area is for the guests of this rental house, but one day 4 young adults came to play and were obnoxious, like they didn't know we were there. Also, the next door construction with jackhammers from 8 AM were extremely irritating. The house shook at times as it's directly next door. Also, there is a fair bit of hooting and hollering up and down the road at night from passing bar goers, but you'd only know it if you sleep with the windows open like I did.
Don't get me wrong. We were here a week, we liked it, were comfortable, and loved the location. The construction next door should be a passing thing.
An added plus, was Portland, the neighbor's cat who comes to visit each night. He's a portly, lovable, purr bucket who we let in to visit each night. Adorable.
The flat is lovely. Clean comfortable and freshly decorated. It's in a great area and getting there is super easy. We were just sad that we only had one night at the flat.
Thanks so much
