The House: The original timber railway workers cottage features two bedrooms, a country style kitchen, charming bathroom with claw floor bath, an inviting open plan living area, wood fired heater and reverse cycle air con (sleeps 4 to 5). With high ceilings, original polished floorboards, French doors and stained glass windows you will feel as though you are a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
The large terraced garden offers covered outdoor areas, a bbq for those summer nights and elevated timber decks. With separate outdoor living areas, you will always find somewhere to relax in this beautiful oasis. Enjoy views of the village and surrounding hinterland from your private deck and paved courtyard.
Exclusive use of all facilities is guaranteed if you rent the property in its entirety. House, Studio Retreat - sleeps up to 9. A single rollaway bed may be added to one of the rooms to accommodate an extra guest.
Town of Bangalow: With just a 2 minute walk into Bangalows main street you are well placed is this heritage village to enjoy the vibrant coffee foodie culture and stunning landscape for adventure and bushwalking in a myriad of National Parks.
Bangalow has a fantastic range of casual cafes and fine dining options and none of the commercial food chains that have overtaken other small towns. You can grab some Thai food or a delicious burger for a casual night out. There are gourmet modern Australian restaurants which pride themselves on cooking seasonal favourites with local produce. For such an untouched town, the dining options are sensational perfect for all food lovers.
Transport: In regards to transport, Bangalow is just over 2 hours drive south of Brisbane, which can be reached by plane from cities all over Australia. There are also many bus companies which travel to Byron Bay from the eastern capital cities. There is an airport in Ballina which offers transfers to and from Bangalow.
