My home is ready for you to relax in modern style with a comfortable feel when you come home from the slopes! Once you get here, you won’t have to leave (unless you want to). There is a new, fully functional kitchenette and a great entertainment system. My favorite part? The martini shaker and glasses provided to mix up your favorite drink after a long day on the slopes.

Kitchen: Kitchenette equipped with new dishes, pots and pans, silverware and utensils - everything needed to make a great meal. Appliances include high power microwave, toaster oven, electric hot water pot, coffee maker, refrigerator, and two-burner range cook-top. You can make a full meal here - i often use the toaster oven to bake an eggplant or a pasta dish.

Accommodations: King bed upstairs in loft and queen pull-out-sofa in the living area. Sleeps 4 comfortably.

FIREPLACE; There is a cozy fireplace w/ seating in the lobby of the building, as well as cable TV.

Outdoor space: Balcony with bistro table and chairs. The table is stored during the winter. There's also a full playground and picnic tables in the back of the building.

Other amenities in the apartment include a lot of well-designed space for drying and storing your winter gear. Ski rack inside unit for ski/snowboard storage without giving up valuable space in
the living areas. Plenty of hooks for coats, hats, gloves, etc. so they will be dry the next day.

Other services on-site include onsite management, laundry facilities (coin-op), ice maker in lobby, and a fire place/lounge in the lobby.

  • I stayed only a night but very great place to stay. The Kingsize bed is awesome !

  • Ian's condo was comfortable and conveniently located. He was quick to respond to emails and made renting easy.

  • It was great. Simple, convenient, warm.

  • The place was great, exactly as described. Ian was super helpful & responsive with texts. Thanks Ian!

  • Only reason I did not give 5 starts is because the building elevator was broken during our stay so I had to lug 4 people's worth of luggage up and down 4 flights of stairs, but that was not Ian's fault. Otherwise, he has a very clean, nicely appointed loft with extremely comfortable bed, great TV, well stocked kitchen area, and great view of the ski slopes.

    Response from Ian:

Unfortunately, brian stayed only one day and the elevator was indeed out of service. However, it was fixed the following day and this is the first and only time since owning this condo that the elevator had an issue.

Thank you for the other positive comments about my place and glad you enjoyed your stay in Tahoe!

  • Ian was very responsive and accommodating. The condo is very cute, nicely decorated, and well equipped. It is clean and bright, and the bed was very comfortable. The best part about the condo is how close it is to the ski hill, which is a great place for beginners to learn. It's just out back, steps from the condo. Unfortunately for us, because of the low snowfall, the ski hill was mostly closed, so we weren't able to ski there. We'll come back another time for sure when there is more snow!

  • Ian was the perfect host. He was easily available via phone when I had a question, and he has gone out of his way to make his condo a fun family vacation spot. We are definitely going back!

  • I'm not going to blame Ian for the limited snowfall in Tahoe, but I will say that Donner Pass is a great place to stay even with little snowfall because you are on the highest peak and we still got a lot of fun sledding in. The apartment was clean and functional for our family of four and even had a couple kids books which kept our toddler busy. It is in a great location as well. We will be back when the snow falls next year to teach our four year old to ski at Donner Pass which is supposed to be a great beginner ski slope. Thanks Ian!

  • We enjoyed our stay in Ian's condo over New Year's Eve. It was exactly as we pictured it, with all the amenities as described. Ian was very professional and friendly in our interactions, and was very responsive even though it was over the holidays.

Most importantly, we would especially like to thank Ian and the cleaning staff for returning an iPad that my sister accidentally left there. She didn't realize it was missing until we got home, and by then the cleaning staff had already contacted Ian to let him know they found it. Ian went to great lengths to get it to us as soon as he was able, and we greatly appreciated the efforts by everyone involved to get the iPad safely back to us. Thanks so much!

  • We were very disappointed with our stay here. It took us a month to get over this nightmare and finally be able to write a review to warn other guests. Never ever going to use airbnb again! Airbnb and the host teamed up took $470 from us to fix the damage that we didn't make. We stayed there for just one night to show our kids snow and left soon because I was very sick. Short little family trip turned into a nightmare. We are still very upset about paying for something we didn't do and no one really cares about it. It feels like we got robbed. Happy host fixed the damage and happy airbnb paid the host with our money. The host didn't even care to talk to us or let us know exactly what was going on - we left the house and while we were driving home, the host sent us a message that there's a damage informed by his cleaning service and there's a picture to prove. We wanted to talk to him in person to see what was he talking about but he had no decency to pick up his phone because he was busy eating dinner with his family on his vacation and didn't want to talk. He said he would call the next day and didn't call us. He said in his message that airbnb will take care of it and guess what airbnb took $470 from our deposit. Too bad that we didn't take a picture of the damage we saw so we had no proof. We talked to the supervisor of the airbnb and told them the damage was already there but the supervisor didn't care. She actually hung up on us. They paid the host and everyone's happy so why bother right? By the way, the heating system in this condo sucks. Too hot next to the heater but the whole place was very cold. Please take pictures of every detail of the house when you get there so his 'cleaning crew' doesn't screw you over damages. They seem to take lots of before and after pictures but who know when they took it. The host might seem nice but he surely knows how to make money out of you. We paid $300 for this little space plus $470 for the damage. Don't waste your money here.

    Response from Ian:

To clarify, there was no "teaming up" here. This guest denied damaging the condo, and airbnb acted as a mediator in the situation since Sang and I were not able to reach a resolution directly. I have a reputable cleaning service who checks and cleans the condo before and after each stay, and in this case they provided photos and detailed information describing the damage and proving that it was damaged during the duration of Sang's stay. A curtain rod was pulled out of the wall, and the bathroom sink was damaged. Further, i did respond to Sang's calls, and left messages on his wife's cell phone voicemail.
Sang insists that he did not cause the damage, however i have reputable witnesses who have told me otherwise. Witnesses who, in after dozens of rentals and cleanings I have never once had an issue with them, or a guest. From an ethics standpoint, i pride myself on ethics and never once would i dream of taking advantage of any situation. Just like any other, this was handled 'by the book', and i would never charge a guest for damages they did not make.

I tend to price my condo below current market rates for comparable accommodations in Truckee or in the North Lake Tahoe area, and keep them affordable. During the holidays yes my rates are higher, but keep in mind i cannot control the cleaning fees i pay (those are fixed) and airbnb typically charges a fee on top of the rental and cleaning fee.

Please view my reviews from many, many other happy renters and don't let this one situation deter you.

I am an outdoors person and I love to travel. Skiing, Mountain biking/cycling, Hiking, Rock climbing, Sailing, camping, are all at the top of my list. I love to try new foods and i'm always on the go, to do something fun or interesting. Photography is a passion of mine and has also helped to shape my career, as i work on the business/strategic side of the photo industry. I love what i do, but i also know that work is just work, and it is important to enjoy life to the fullest. Lake tahoe is my happy place, where the air is fresh and the outdoor activities are limitless. I love AirBnB because it allows me to share my little slice of tahoe heaven with the rest of you all, as well as find places to lay my head when i travel to places like Europe, UK, Australia, and more.
