Ian was very responsive to email/texts when we had questions about the condo. It is a compact space that works best for 2 people. The neighborhood is great and the stay includes passes to the nearby Trout Creek recreation center. There is plenty of outdoor activities available nearby. The water heater for the shower is small and accommodates only 1 short (five minute) shower before having to wait 30-45 min for the water to heat up again. The view from the condo is great, looking out on the slopes of a ski area. The king size bed is very comfortable. The condo complex was not busy the days we stayed and it was very quiet and peaceful there.
Off the beaten path and quiet, Ian's place is great if you are looking for a relaxing getaway. Note that the sofa bed is surprisingly comfortable! The loft looks a lot better in person and it is furnished nicely. A few perks we enjoyed: the high quality sound system and speakers for music, the stash of board games, and the assortment of teas.
Ian is one of the most responsive hosts I've ever had. Our communication was entirely by email/app and he always seemed to respond within 12 hours, which was amazing.
The home itself was nice, cozy and clean. The location is fantastic with a nice view of a ski run. We visited over 4th of July and his place was quiet, perfect for a weekend getaway with the girlfriend.
The kitchenette is perfect if you want to cook a little snack but don't expect to do any heavy duty cookie baking as a large oven is unavailable. We were able to have taco night with no hitches at all.
The two mini fridges were a brilliant touch - one for food, one for drinks, obviously.
Ian's king bed was super soft and since it was in the loft, warmth was never a problem.
The TV was nicely mounted and DVD/BluRay playblack was flawless.
Ian has very clear and concise instructions and manuals on everything and anything going on in the house.
Thanks so much for a great experience!
Me and two girlfriends stayed at Ian's condo durring the weekend of tahoe tough Mudder hosted at northstar. The condo was in a great location with a quick drive to everything and the condo itself was very nice. Very modern and stylish. Enjoyed very much. Be warned the hot water heater is VERY small and really only enough hot water for one shower at a time. Over all I would stay there again and would recommend to others.
Ian was a fabulous host! The loft is exactly as described. It's a small, yet beautiful space very well put together. We had a wonderful time and would absolutely stay here again. Thank you Ian for having us as your guests!
About the Host, Ian
I am an outdoors person and I love to travel. Skiing, Mountain biking/cycling, Hiking, Rock climbing, Sailing, camping, are all at the top of my list. I love to try new foods and i'm always on the go, to do something fun or interesting. Photography is a passion of mine and has also helped to shape my career, as i work on the business/strategic side of the photo industry. I love what i do, but i also know that work is just work, and it is important to enjoy life to the fullest. Lake tahoe is my happy place, where the air is fresh and the outdoor activities are limitless. I love AirBnB because it allows me to share my little slice of tahoe heaven with the rest of you all, as well as find places to lay my head when i travel to places like Europe, UK, Australia, and more.
