About this listing
I have tried to edit my summary but no luck. I was going to correct it to say that I now have a Queen sized bed for the front upstairs bedroom. Hooray!! No more antique double bed. Enjoy!
Charming upstairs bedroom with bath and private deck in the quietest neighborhood in San Luis Obispo, seven blocks from downtown. The room has a very comfortable antique double bed. There is another bedroom with bath if needed. The price is the same as first room but negotiable. The second room has a beautiful antique four-poster bed from the 19th century. The house is three blocks from the Splash Café and many other restaurants are in walking distance. I am very close to Cal Poly State University.

Anne's place is great, just as described in the other reviews. The beds are comfie, deck is great, bathrooms clean, and ammenties are agreat. She was so accommodating of our need for two rooms on such short notice. Also so wonderful that a kind neighbor tipped her off to my flat tire, so I could get it fixed without too much interruption in the plan. I'd be back in a heartbeat, her spot is very relaxing.
Anne is just a lovely woman, she greeted us with a warm welcome and provided all the amenities one would need to enjoy their stay. We shared a bottle of wine at her table and chatted about the area. It was a special time for my husband and I as we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary. She recommended a great place for dinner and made us reservations. I definitely will return to Anne's place if I'm ever in the area. Thank you so much, we just loved spending our weekend with you. Warmest regards Linda and Harry
We had a wonderful stay with Anne. The house is beautiful, the room is spacious and the bed is very comfortable. Anne was accommodating with our late check in and was a kind and engaging host. Mr Nickels is a very sweet cat, we hope to stay again one day.
Anne's place was very comfortable and perfectly located near Cal Poly. My husband was there for a two day conference and we wanted to stay somewhere quiet and affordable. The neighbourhood was quiet and the views from the back balcony lovely. At night the stars were wonderful. Mr Nichols the cat was very friendly but more importantly the host Anne couldn't have been more helpful and flexible.
The host canceled this reservation 29 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Anne was a wonderful host with a lovely house in a great neighborhood, perfect for a late evening stroll. It is located a little ways away from downtown, which is nice if you want to avoid the usual downtown drag but is still a close drive. The room was spacious, clean, and had a ton of natural light. The next room had coffee, a great assortment of teas, some delicious muffins, and even a mini fridge which was super convenient. Full access to the deck, which was a great way to start or end a day. Anne was super accommodating with flexible check in/check out times and was pretty hands off but incredibly friendly. Would not hesitate to stay here again if I'm in the area! Overall, a great experience - way better than staying at a hotel!
