About This Listing
I have tried to edit my summary but no luck. I was going to correct it to say that I now have a Queen sized bed for the front upstairs bedroom. Hooray!! No more antique double bed. Enjoy!
Charming upstairs bedroom with bath and private deck in the quietest neighborhood in San Luis Obispo, seven blocks from downtown. The room has a very comfortable antique double bed. There is another bedroom with bath if needed. The price is the same as first room but negotiable. The second room has a beautiful antique four-poster bed from the 19th century. The house is three blocks from the Splash Café and many other restaurants are in walking distance. I am very close to Cal Poly State University.

As always, Anne has been a warm and welcoming host - her home is a delight and conveniently located. It's the only place I choose to say when in the area - big thumbs up!
What a lovely place in a beautiful safe neighborhood, with convenient access to popular eateries and shops in downtown San Louis Obispo. Anne is a charming and accommodating host, who is a pleasure to talk to and very understanding of circumstances. Simple check in and check out with good focus on up to date communication. We'd highly recommend staying with Anne if you're in San Louis Obispo for any occasion. Clean house and comfortable room!
Anne was very sweet and charming. We got to visit a little, and she had some interesting stories. The house was just as described, very quaint. The neighborhood was quiet and clean. She had coffee and muffins in the morning. I would recommend Anne's house. Very nice.
Anne's place was fantastic and she did a great job making sure I was comfortable and had anything I needed. The place is located very ideally next to downtown, well within walking distance or a very short cab ride. I'd definitely recommend staying there if you're coming to San Luis Obispo!
Ever the gracious host Anne met us with a smile and a charming manner. Just what we needed after a long drive! We found our room to be very homey with a most comfortable queen bed. The view from all windows was of the beautiful San Luis Obispo hills....very serene.
We especially enjoyed the private balcony which allowed us an unrestricted view of both close and distant hills. Especially appreciated was the peaceful neighborhood which allowed us to relax and decompress from our normal high-pressure work environment. The location is unique because although a quiet neighorhood nook, it is readily accessible to the Apple Farm, Cal Poly, the eclectic downtown, and a spectacular little hot dog/hamburger place on the corner of Monterey and California called "Frank's Famous Hot Dog's" which has superb hamburgers and opens with a breakfast menu at 6:30 AM! We truly enjoyed Anne's accommodation and company. It is pleasant to find a truly gracious host. Anne was eager to smooth our busy holiday/business trip schedule....a rare and greatly appreciated virtue. We will return.
Anne was an amazing host and had such a beautiful home! My boyfriend and I stayed three nights and were so glad that we did! The room (and entire house) was spotless clean but full of amazing artwork and antiques that Anne has collected over the years. 10/10 would stay here again!
About the Host, Anne
I have lived in San Luis Obispo since 1974. Before that I lived in New Mexico. I am interested in the arts, books, good food and what is going on around town. I have a cat and nice neighbors.
