About this listing
I have tried to edit my summary but no luck. I was going to correct it to say that I now have a Queen sized bed for the front upstairs bedroom. Hooray!! No more antique double bed. Enjoy!
Charming upstairs bedroom with bath and private deck in the quietest neighborhood in San Luis Obispo, seven blocks from downtown. The room has a very comfortable antique double bed. The house is three blocks from the Splash Café and many other restaurants are in walking distance. I am very close to Cal Poly State University.

Anne was a warm and gracious host! She opened her lovey home to us and was a wealth of knowledge about the area. My 13 year old daughter and I unreservedly recommend a stay both with Anne and in lovely San Luis Obispo. Two thumbs up!
Anne is a very warm and gracious host.
The neighbor was lovely and felt very safe.
Upon arrival the host Anne was there to meet me and my family. Comfortable beds, everything was clean and direct access to a rooftop patio where smoking is allowed - had to check in as little early to get ready for a wedding and slept in late. Anne was very accommodating and joy to be around
We stayed one night on our way to San Francisco. The home is cosy and clean. It is a great overnight stop, but you will need to have a car otherwise it is difficult to get out as it is in a residential area.
Anne was very helpful in recommending us on things to do.mwe went to Avril beach n as it was a Friday the markets was on, lovely beach.
Lovely house on a quiet street not very far from downtown San Luis Obispo. Anne was very inviting and the room was very comfortable. Very relaxed atmosphere where we felt we could come and go without disturbing anyone. I would recommend this for anyone looking for a very comfortable, quiet stay in San Luis Obispo who wants a genuine local feel.
Anne has a lovely house in a rustic San Luis Obispo suburb about a fifteen minutes drive from some beautiful little Pacific beaches. Bed and bath are perfect. SLO is a cosy little town with lots of shops and superb restaurants. That (different from mentioned on the Airbnb-site) there was no breakfast is being accepted into the bargain.
Anne was such a great host, a true local to San Luis Obispo. She was always more than willing to help with suggestions or ideas about what to do or where to go. If you are going to stay here, please remember to say hi to Mr. Nickels (the cat) and enjoy the SLO way of life. We will definitely book again when we get a chance to come back. Highly recommend this host.
About the Host, Anne
I have lived in San Luis Obispo since 1974. Before that I lived in New Mexico. I am interested in the arts, books, good food and what is going on around town. I have a cat and nice neighbors.

A glass of wine in the evening.
