The Space

We understand you and your family may have lost shelter, either temporarily or permanently due to the effects of Hurricane Sandy.

We are here to help. We live in a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom, ~1000 square foot apartment in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn. One flight of stairs. We are very close to all subways, even though some of them may not be working, you will have options - 2, 3, 4, 5, B, D, N, Q, R at Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center, A,C, G at Hoyt-Schermerhorn.

We have a big futon in our living room that can fit 2 people very comfortably. We have a second futon that can also fit 2, however we limited guests to 2 since we only have one bathroom.

We have heat, internet, and laundry but no TV. You are free to use our kitchen and we can provide you with towels and bedsheets. We like to cook so you will likely get to enjoy some meals with us.

You are welcome to stay in our home if you are in serious need. Couples, small family, or two singles welcome.

- David, Janis, Michelle

About us: We are three young creative professionals who are friendly and welcome guests. Janis and David work in Manhattan on the weekdays, typically 9-6. Michelle works in sales and sometimes works from home but often leaves for sales calls. Please be respectful of our home. Sorry, no pets.
