Lovely, inviting, and very private, our chalet is a traveler's dream. We offer location, comfort, tranquility, and a free-standing cottage for the price of a hotel room. We are situated less than a block from the attractions at Fisherman's Wharf, a ten minute walk to downtown and the USA ferry terminals, and a fifteen minute walk to the local/long distance bus stations. The historic James Bay neighbourhood shopping centre, with its myriad coffee shops, book and curio stores, and 24 hour grocery store, is also a five minute walk. The University of Victoria and Camosun College are a quick and easy bus or bike ride away.
Sunny and bright, the chalet features: 16 foot vaulted ceilings, oak floors, skylights, french doors opening out onto a large south-facing deck, kitchenette suitable for light cooking (convection oven, microwave, rice cooker, slow cooker, toaster, coffee maker, outdoor barbeque),separate private bedroom as well as sleeping loft. The sleeping loft has a futon mattress, while the living room couch folds into a double bed., We also offerstorage for bicycles on site with laundry option next door. There are two on-site high speed wireless internet networks and cable flatscreen tv is provided as well as a dvd player and a reasonable selection of movies.

Interaction with Guests
While we love to share our travel experiences with guests, we also understand that you are not in Victoria to visit US!.. We are always available for a chat, coffee, or for local area information, but will never encroach on your space. Whether for a day or a month, the chalet is YOUR home, and we will respect it as such.
No smoking please, and shoes off inside.... VERY IMPORTANT... DO NOT LOCK DOOR WHEN CHECKING OUT.. PLEASE LEAVE KEY ON KITCHEN TABLE.
Convenient location and very nice chalet. It was very private and well stocked with just what we needed. Keeping Michael's place in mind for future visits. If you're only in town for a few days and want a nice place to rest your head, this is definitely it!
Thank you Michael for your hospitality. We were very comfortable and enjoyed our stay.
Michael was a superb hosts, readily available but not intrusive. The Chalet was cozy and great for our visit.
Michael's chalet was both very enjoyable and comfortable. The neighborhood is quiet and a short walk to the beach and to the fisherman's wharf area. We would be very happy to stay here again.
Great location, close to James bay and many great attractions. The house was very cozy and perfect for my girlfriend and I.
This was a great stay w a great host. Michael was very helpful and responsive, and really made us feel welcome. The place itself was as advertised with everything in working order. It is in a great neighborhood with many options in walking distance, but still just enough off the beaten path. I would def. stay here again.
Michael was in touch with us before we arrived and invited us to stop by and say hello when we arrived. We didn't as it was right at Christmas time, though it was god to know they were nearby if we needed anything. The chalet is pretty much as it looks in the photos. It's very central to amenities and downtown (the latter is walkable in about 20 minutes). We loved the Heron Rock Bistro which is five minutes away on foot, and Aura Restaurant, five minutes in the other direction.
If you come in the winter, plan to drop your stuff off, turn the baseboard heaters on, and go for lunch or something, as it will take a little bit of time to warm up the place.
All in all, a lovely little place.
