Interaction with guests
The flat adjoins our Victorian terraced house, where we are generally available to offer advice about the area and to help with any needs you may have, including letting you in and showing you around when you arrive.
Our house is just a couple of minutes' walk from London Fields and half an hour by bus or tube from Central London, although there's plenty to do in the immediate vicinity. Here you'll find every kind of amenity at your fingertips: bars, restaurants, shops; the largest outdoor heated swimming pool in London; parks; farmers' markets; great resources for children.
Particular favourites: Broadway Market farmer's market on Saturday; Columbia Road flower market on Sunday; the London Fields Lido; the Rio Cinema and Hackney Picture House; and for drinks or lunch/supper: Lardo, Raw Duck, Pinch, Tre Viet, Mangal (Arcola Street) the Spurstow Arms, the Cat and Mutton... The list is very long.
We are well connected to central London by bus and tube: the 38 bus goes from the bottom of our road through Islington, Bloomsbury and Soho to Victoria Station, while the 242 will take you past Liverpool Street, through the City to St Paul's Cathedral and then Holborn. The newly opened East London Line travels south through Shoreditch, while the London Overground circuits north and west London, stopping at Hampstead Heath and eventually at Kew Gardens.
No smoking inside please, though out in the garden is fine.
