The perfect cozy spot to unplug in the mountains! I feel like lots of descriptions try to "oversell" you so I'll share a few things i genuinely love about my mini a-frame.
- It's in the most peaceful setting - it's like camping but wayyy cozier - with a super comfy bed :)
- You'll feel secluded but just steps in the forest from your parking spot + only 15 min. to Hendersonville and 17 to Brevard
- You can open the side to create a covered patio
- My own brand of local coffee is always included
The space
This mini A frame cabin has been a dream of mine to build and I am so excited to share it with you. It is tucked only steps up the hill by the trickling creek in what I think is the most magical spot on my property. It just feels peaceful when you are there :)
We worked hard to make it feel at home there so we didn't do much clearing - we just worked with the land that was there and tucked the cabin right in. As you walk up the stone step path you will hear the creek, see mountain laurel, rhododendrons, mountains in the distance, and if you are lucky you may spot a white squirrel or two. :)
Also i have a thing for gnomes so you'll see some hidden around the area too :)
Guest access
There is a code to enter your cabin.
The portable toilet and outdoor, hhot shower (no available in winter) are shared spaces with people camping in the camping area. There are never more than 2 groups camping at once, so sharing shower time is not an issue.
You have your own private hammock area
you have your own private fire pit
and you can also use the private firepit and picnic table area near your parking spot if you want to use that space as well.
Other things to note
Please note the drive up to the cabin is a steeper gravel road. A vehicle with higher ground clearance and AWD or 4WD is recommended. That being said I have had guests in smaller cars make it up and down just fine :)
Also note that the setting of this cabin is private, but it is possible you can hear noises (like the occasional bark from my loudmouth corgi ha) from my nearby home or neighbors.

Oh hey! I have lived in the mountains of WNC since 2014 and I LOVE it here. My favorite things in the world are backpacking, visiting coffee shops, meeting new people, and taking my dog Hootie to the river. In 2019 I started my own coffee company where I guide hikes to local waterfalls (search AirBnb experiences for "Coffee Hike to Three Waterfalls for more info) and make coffee in the woods with visitors to DuPont State Forest. I recently purchased my first home in the mountains near DuPont State Forest, and when I am out of town for hiking trips or other adventures I open it up for guests to rent and enjoy my little modern cabin in the forest.
