Queen size bed and private room in a town house in East Pittsburgh. Bus stop at top of the street (Rural and Negley, Penn and Negley) other routes within two blocks. There are plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance. (Pig and Chicken, Harvard and Highland, NaCl, BRGR, Sharpe Edge...etc). East Liberty is an up and coming colorful neighborhood and a lot of new businesses are developing which gives it a lot of flavor. Connected to community garden (Pennley Place) through a walkway out of the backyard. Also, there is a park with neighborhood basketball court, tennis courts and playground.
Three cats - though you will have your own private room if you prefer not to interact with them.
Wireless Internet and Netflix access.

Larry explained how it all worked, and was very gracious and helpful with questions and concerns. Our room was cheery and comfortable. We were pleased to be close to the Kelly Strayhorn Theatre, a show there being the reason for our trip to Pittsburgh. We enjoyed checking out East Liberty, Shadyside and downtown, too.
Larry was an amazing host. Even though we didn't have a chance to meet in person (he was out of town), he made himself available at all times via email and phone.
When we initially tried to book 3 nights in a row, unfortunately the room was booked 2 of the nights. Larry has a second room in the house and promptly suggested that we switch rooms, this way we could stay there - and gave us the 3rd night free in his room.
Comfy bed, clean house, there were apples, bananas, bagels, coffee, yogurt for breakfast :)
Also, he left instructions on things to do in the neighborhood and city - really helpful.
The 3 cats are super cute and friendly - loved them!
We will definitely stay at Larry's next time we're in Pittsburgh. If I were to say that there was a downside it would be thin walls, we were able to listen the guests staying in the next room - so if you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs.
All in all, it was absolutely great!
This apartment was incredibly inviting and clean. Larry has a map of restaurants and activities in the area, a Netlflix account for you to use, and food and drinks in the fridge. It's a fun location, and by far the most accommodating Airbnb I've stayed at.
We only stayed at Larry's one night and didn't get to see much around. The neighborhood sorta looked dodgy but Larry was great and definately an experienced host. He gave us great advice and had food available for breakfast like a true B&B! We had no problems with our stay :)
Larry was a very accommodating host, helped us navigate the city, and gave us recommendations of things to see and do in Pittsburgh. The house, while not in the downtown, is pretty accessible via mass transit and is near some great restaurants. And of course, the price can't be beat. Friendly cats, too.

I am from Pittsburgh. I travel for work 75% of the time. Like to meet new people and share experiences. Run, mountain bike, and love music and movies. Would be great to make friends in new cities.
