DOUBLE ROOM IN BEACH HOUSE
You can't get any closer to the beach than on it! Roll out of bed and into the surf!
A place of simple comforts, perfectly nestled on the edge of the ocean and opening onto a golden sandy shore, the guest HOUSE is the perfectly positioned to admire the relaxing view of the shimmering Atlantic and the endless African sunshine.
The Guest house is right on the beach!
A new joint UK Berber venture, the house has been refurbished to create a comfortable, casual atmosphere in which to enjoy this fabulous location. Walk out of the front door over one of the four terraces and you are on the sand and a pebbles throw from the mighty Atlantic Ocean.
The weather is roughly 25C to 28C all year round.
Merlift is on the Atlantic coast, has 6 beaches and is great for surfing, swimming, paragliding, other outdoor activities or just chilling out, enjoying the sun and watching the locals! If your ideal break is getting away from it all and seeing real places without the tourist trappings then Merlift is ideal.
At Aftas Beach House we have a policy of supporting local businesses, we also like to listen.
Our guests have told us that they like to get up in the morning, enjoy a leisurely tea or coffee in the house, taking in the sights and sounds of the mighty Atlantic before strolling along to one of the local beach cafes for a traditional Berber breakfast.
We have taken these comments on board and we now provide as much complimentary tea and coffee (available all day) that you can drink, plus a cake or biscuit to fuel you for the short walk to one of the three beach cafes that all serve good and reasonably priced local dishes.
LATEST NEWS!! We have teamed up with a local surf school we are now offering SURF LESSONS!!
Please note that we are 140 Kilometers south of Agadir we are not in Agadir.

This place is absolutely lovely. Located on perhaps the smallest beach of the whole east coast of Morocco, the life is so relaxed you never want to leave again. And then there's Brenda, the English owner of the house with a great sense of humor. She knows how to make you feel at home. The only thing this place doesn't have is breakfast, but luckily Brenda provides cakes all day and there's a nice little restaurant next to the Beach House.
Anbefales!
We felt very welcome here, an excellent location on a nice beach. Highly recommended if you want a relaxing holiday
Brenda is a great host, really friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. She also does a great job keeping the house clean and looking great and the breakfast she serves on the terrace each morning is absolutely delicious.
The location of the house simply could not be better, literally right on the beach. The atmosphere of the place is just fantastic, really relaxing, with stunning sunsets, starlit nights and the ever-present sounds of the surf.
The house has almost a hostel-like feel to it, with a real mix of people staying there, lots of different nationalities and a variety of ages. Most of the rooms are rather small, but they are clean and the beds are actually surprisingly comfy. In fact in many ways, the simplicity of the place is part of its charm. If you need 5-star, ensuite luxury then this is probably not the place for you. But if you want somewhere to get away from it all and chill out with a good book and amazing views then this house is great.
I cannot emphasise enough how much we loved our stay at Aftas Beach House. In truth, you couldn’t really apply any adjectives to describe luxury to this accommodation, and yet there’s absolutely nothing you could ever do to make the experience of staying there any more magical and special. This place was truly a heaven on earth for us. (Having said that, I’m not really sure that “heaven on earth” does it justice.)
We absolutely love travelling. We’ve been to lots of different places, and so we’ve met lots of hosts and hostesses (and liked most of them), but Brenda is, by far, our favourite yet––unbelievably honest, super chilled and uniquely hilarious!
We couldn’t recommend this place enough. We would definitely go back. And stay there. Forever!

I moved to Morocco late last year after spending 6 years living in my house Southern Spain. For the last 5 years I have been working as a freelance production manager on fashion shoots and traveling to many locations with that job. I have lived in New Zealand and Australia, and traveled to quite a few other places over the 25 years ( no longer young!)I love cooking and entertaining.
