Nice room, with Full Size bed.
It's a room, in a 3br Duplex. 5 blocks to L train, Dekalb Av Stop.
The place is the second floor of 2 family condo. Lots of lights, makes this apt very warm.
You can control your own heating, which is great.
You're only 10-15min walking from all cool restaurants and bars, like La Bodega, Guacuco Restaurant, Northeast Kingdom and many more.
In case you're not a Bushwick fan, Williamsburg is only a 10min subway ride. 15min to the East Village and 30-35min to most New York attractions, like Empire State Building, Wall St, Central Park, Rockefeller Center.
My place has cable, wifi, and phone. Also Netflix, in case you want to catch up with TV Series.
The room is a full size bed. You will receive clean towels for each person and clean sheets. And most important a clean room/bath.
I throw in some candles for decoration. ;)
Pics speak for itself, very nice place.
You'll be sharing this apt with 2 guys,
One is a mid 30's waiter. Really chill, non smoker, clean guy. Mostly never home
And me, early 20's young entreprenuer. Clean, neat, never home most of the time, because of school and work. We can chill if schedules coincide.
Hope to host you soon. :D
Please no smoking. You will have a key, so you can come and go as you please. But please no smoking.
Carupano is a universal human; he treats all folks with kindness and respect. Even on my rushed trip I learned about a softer side of NYC through him and his companeros. Thank you for extending your home to me and making ME feel at-home away from home.
Carupano e-mailed me the day of my arrival to tell me "I'm in Montreal right now until Wednesday. My roommates should be there." "Should" be there? I wrote back and asked if I could get his roommates contact information just in case no one came to the door, he did not respond to that message. Sure enough, I arrived to the apartment and no one was there to let me in. I stood outside the apt for over 2 hours, I was tired, hungry & I had to go to the bathroom. Finally his roommate Adrian arrived and let me in, he apologized and told me I was expected during the day, even though I gave Carupano my flight information and he knew I was arriving in the late evening. He apologized and offered to take me out to dinner, I did not feel this was appropriate. When I returned back home from the trip I e-mailed Carupano to express my frustration and give him a chance to remedy the situation before I left a review. He refused to accept any sort of responsibility for what happened. In his message he said "It's NYC and people get busy… you can't expect everyone to be perfect. I can't do much about it" This entire mishap could have been avoided had he displayed this most basic level of communication with his roommates.
The neighborhood is convenient to subway and L train. The experience of staying was good.
This place is a decent cheap option in NYC. Good location, in a very nice neighborhood!
The room is as described in the ad, there are several things to note though:
- there are no curtains in the room, so lots of light and not so much privacy.
- the room is quite noisy, we heard literally what was said on the neighbors tv.
- the apartment gets quite hot in the summer, there is airconditioning, but this does not work very convincingly.
- the host rented out his own room, while sleeping on the couch himself, so we were sharing the bathroom and apartment with one more than advertised.
- we had to wait for the host when we arrived, communication about check-in was so-so.
We enjoyed staying here, but it feels more like a hostel room than a home.
Emanuel is very kind, as are his roommates. As said before, a good cheap option, with some remarks.
I was shown the room after I got there and everything went well. Great room and good parking.

I'm a very easy going person. Love to travel, very on point on things I like and want to do. Young entrepreneur. As a NYC transplant I had to learn the hard way to move around the city, which also meant the fun way. The cool non touristy place that the city has to offer, getting to know every cheap/good/great value place to eat, or where to get the best views. Which trains takes you faster to where and how. Which parks are the best and why. I know New York as the back of my hand. :D
Me as a host. Awesome! Very clean and neat, never home because of school and work, or even travel.
Been to Caracas, Aruba, Zurich, Madrid, Valencia, Sevilla, Mexico City, Maracaibo, Los Roques, Curazao, Punta Cana, Boston, Miami, Providence, Bogota, Cartagena, Margarita Island, Puebla, Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Río de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, Sao Paulo, Salvador da Bahía, Recife, Natal and always adding to the list. So trust me when I say I know what guests wants/needs/require for their stay.
All on all, I'm a good trustworthy guy who wants to help people, and if hosting is a start, let it be. :D
