The Space

Beautiful, clean and unique this studio is easily one of the best in San Francisco. With a combination of refined mid-century and modern furnishings, along with Kevin's own custom metal decor, you will surely be more than impressed. Unlike most spaces in San Francisco, this top floor, west facing unit is showered in natural light throughout the day. It boasts a 42" HD television, a very large bathroom with an equally large shower, full functioning kitchen, relaxed living space and exceptional artwork. It's prime location allows visitors a short walk to many of San Francisco's treasures including the Marina District, Palace of Fine Arts, Japan Town, The Presidio and the Golden Gate Bridge. Located on a charming, shady street, walk out the door and you are stepping into one of the finest neighborhoods in all of San Francisco. Exceptional dining and shopping is only a stone's throw away on Filmore and Divisidero streets. Enjoy a jog or play some tennis at Alta Plaza park which is within sight of the front door. This unrivaled space and locale is truly a genuine San Francisco experience.

  • Kevin's apartment is absolutely beautiful and in a great location (only a 5 minute walk away from Fillmore and some awesome shops and restaurants). Kevin was a great host who was super responsive and very flexible. The only complaint is that internet is really slow.

  • A great location and a cute apartment. There were a couple of issues in regards to heating, wifi and a lack of a few kitchen essentials but still, a quiet and comfortable stay.

  • This is the second time I've stayed at Kevin's place. It's just the perfect spot in San Fran! Kevin is an awesome host, and his place is full of warmth and character. If you're looking for a place to stay, look no further, book with Kevin and make your trip to SF a memorable one.

  • I had a wonderful stay at Kevin's apartment. His place is warm, cosy, exactly as shown in the pictures and located in a very safe neighborhood. As it was my first time in S.F. and I was traveling by myself, I couldn't have asked for anything more.

Just 3 blocks away from the apartment, you'll find Fillmore street which is full of nice restaurants, shops and coffee places. You've got Alta Plaza Park in front of the house which gives you an amazing view of the city. I walked to Golden Gate Park and to Ford Mason from Kevin's place, which was a long but very nice walk. But everything is really close by actually plus public transportation is easy in SF. There's a bus stop at Fillmore street. If you want to travel by taxi, it will cost you $15 the most to any place in the city.

Kevin's wifi network wasn't strong enough for my iPhone, but I found lot's of places nearby that had free wifi, so that was okay.
As a host, Kevin was the best. He helped me in every way possible to make my stay unforgettable. He was very reliable and responded quickly to any questions I had. As he and I are both designers, we planned a night out to talk design, which was awesome too.

During my stay I later checked in to a hotel near Union Square, which was perfect but made me miss the lovely atmosphere of Kevin's place and the calm and layed back vibe of the Pacific Heights neighborhood. So I would definitely come back here again.

Thanks again, Kevin, for letting me stay in your wonderful apartment, I had a great time! Let's keep in touch!

  • This place was perfect! I stayed here while visiting a friend for the weekend and it couldn't have been a better fit. Walking distance to all the shops and restaurants on Filmore, across the street from the park, and in a quiet building. The apartment was spacious and clean and the bed was very comfortable!

  • Wonderful place, great location, quiet street next to the park, close to restaurants, markets and shopping. Host was accommodating. Highly recommend the place would stay there again if traveling back to SF!

  • Had a lovely time at this Pacific Heights studio apartment.

The area is absolutely wonderful - quiet and leafy, with amazing bars & restaurants just a few blocks away on Fillmore St. It was also only 1 or 2 buses (around 10-15 minutes) away from downtown, or most other areas actually, and the public transport links were excellent.

The apartment is very clean and simply decorated, with a really comfy, huge L-shaped couch - perfect for when you come back after a busy day in SF.

We had a wonderful stay in the apartment, and in Pacific Heights, and would love to go back.

  • The apartment was exactly what I wanted - quiet, clean and in a beautiful and safe area, yet close enough to the things any traveller would need: 2 blocks from Fillmore Street shops and restaurants, bus stops, laundry and entertainment. Kevin was helpful and responsive, and I thoroughly enjoyed my time in San Francisco.
I would definitely stay there again!

  • Great location and easy stay at Kevin's place. Exactly as pictured, nice and quiet studio with a good bed and a foam topper that makes it easy to get comfy. Cool loft style studio, with all your needs. Right near Fillmore street, with restaurants, shops, coffee, and a grocery store within walking distance.

About
Hi, I'm Kevin. I grew up across the Golden Gate Bridge in beautiful Marin County, but have spent most my adult life living in San Francisco. I work for a design firm in San Francisco's SOMA district, close to World Champion Giants stadium, where I design and build custom metal furnishings. When I'm not under the hood of a welding helmet, I enjoy spending my time outside mountain biking, surfing, snowboarding, hiking or fishing; all of which (beside snowboarding!) are easily accessible from my apartment. I enjoy a laid-back lifestyle with an emphasis on adventure and creation. If I'm not active, I'm not happy. I love meeting new people and experiencing a variety of cultures, which is why I will probably never leave the amazing city of San Francisco!
