The building is in a very quiet area of Gavea but very close to Leblon & Ipanema. In about 15 min walk you can reach Leblon beach! For Ipanema and Copacabana its just a quick bus ride.
The apartment itself is the best place you can rest after a grand day touring around the city. There's a balcony where you can sit and enjoy the forest while enjoying one of your meals or just relaxing before resting for the day.
If you dont feel like staying in, there are plenty restaurants and snack bars just a few minutes walk away. Gavea is a very safe neighborhood with lively nightlife and easy public transportation to all places in Rio. Beaches, Pao de Acucar, Christ, Downtown are all reacheble by buses you can access at the central bus stop at PUC university. Very easy and convenient.
This apartment is cozy, has one bedroom with a queen size bed, a single sofa bed in the living room. There's also an extra single bed in a separate small room (sleeps 4). There are two tables (4 places each) one in the living/dining area and one in the sunny balcony. The apartment is a beautiful, oasis with good energy, for family or friends. A very pleasant place to relax after a long day of walking in Rio

This was my first Air bnb experience and Silvia was a great host! She was very understanding of a bit of travel trouble that we had. The apartment is great if you are looking to stay in a safe area in Rio that is still close to beach but not completely full of tourists. The apartment fits four people nicely and the balcony has a fun view of the forest where monkeys will play at times. Overall highly recommend this place!
This is a very cute, clean, and quiet apartment in a great neighborhood with lots of character in Rio. It's right across the street from PUC, just up the street from a number of shops including restaurants, cafes, drugstores, and a supermarket. It's a short walk to the botanical gardens, the lagoon, and Leblon beach (a bit far to carry a surfboard, but perfect for heading down for a run and/or swim). The balcony looks out over the forest, and I got to commune with the birds and the monkeys over breakfast.
I thoroughly recommend this place, particularly for visitors to PUC or to tourists looking for a safe place to stay in Rio without other tourists.
Excellent apartment in a quiet, up-scale neighborhood. Amazing deck looking out to a forest with durian trees and occasionally monkey troops. Highly recommended.
