Check in was simple, the house was beautiful and clean, great neighborhood for young people, couples and families.
This was the perfect house for a girl's weekend getaway. It was just as described and fully stocked with every essential needed. Very clean and organized. Alleyn was very sweet and left a welcoming note and a basket of muffins for us when we arrived. We had 6 women in the house and it didn't feel cramped. The only downfall was the one bathroom. There was plenty of street parking and it was just a short walk away from coffee shops, grocery, etc. We would definitely stay there again if ever in Portland.
Alleyns place was perfect and made our Portland experience that much more enjoyable. It is spacious clean and with everything you could need. It's also in a brilliant location. Couldn't recommend it more highly.
Listing was exactly as pictured, except the downstairs was bigger than expected which was nice!
Alleyn was great with setting everything up with fast responses when communicating back and forth.
She even let us keep our luggage next door for a few hours while we wandered around before our flight.
Great experience overall and such a cute neighborhood!
This was a great little Nob Hill Bungalo. Spacious and great for our week stay! Alleyn was so friendly and had some clementines and a few cupcakes waiting for us when we arrived. The place was very homey and she had a great selection of movies to watch!
A couple drawbacks for us personally, were the noise from the schoolyard across the street in the mornings (we worked late nights and this made it difficult to sleep in) and the extremely bright rooms! (Lots of windows, again, made it difficult to sleep in.
In conclusion, a great place for early risers! :-) but overall, we had a lovely stay and appreciated the proximity to the downtown area.
Parking was super easy to find. There was plenty of room on the street.
the location was great. it was on a quiet street with plenty of street parking. its a 10-15 minute to drive to many restuants and activities
Four friends and I had a wedding to attend in the city and we are so glad to have found such a clean, well-kept home to stay for a couple nights. Alleyn was great! She gave us clear directions and even came by to let us know when we were parked in the wrong area so we wouldn't get a ticket. She had the place well stocked with household essentials and travel guides to Portland. It's located a quick drive or bus ride to downtown and is just blocks from a great restaurant and shopping area on 23rd. I highly recommend this as a place to stay while visiting Portland.

I live in the NW district close to the center of town because it is easily accessible from almost anywhere in Portland. Ten minutes from the airport. My great grandparents built homes in this neighborhood when it was first being developed and I have always loved this section of town. I moved to my present home in the Nob Hill district about 14 years ago.
I was an interior designer for many years and I also teach watercolor at the local community center.
I can't live without the ocean (an hour and a half drive from here), the mountains (an hour's drive), the beautiful Columbia gorge (1/2 hour) and Forest Park (minutes away).
I just saw the movie St Vincent with Bill Murray and loved it. Funny and charming.
I enjoy people from all walks of life and love to travel when given the chance.
