About this listing
Clean, comfortable and affordable stay in mid-town Bend. Just minutes from the downtown scene, where you will find good food and lots of beer.
Sleeps two in a double bed.
Located in the middle of Bend Oregon, my house is a great base for exploring the city and beyond. Whether you'd like to take a hike up Pilot Butte, grab a local beer, take off to see Dillon Falls on the Deschutes River or ski Mt. Bachelor, it feels like you are only minutes away.
I open my home to you for your enjoyment during your stay in Bend. I have three bedrooms and one bathroom for guests.
The kitchen may be used by guests as well, ready with cookware and basic spices. Just bring your main ingredients to cook your own meals 'at home'. Of course, if you choose to eat out, there are many great choices 5 minutes to downtown. Deschutes Brewery, Silver Moon Brewery, Taj Palace, Brother Johns, or the classic Pine Tavern are all recommended choices.
Also living at the house is a cat named Marley, who is a very good greeter.
I cut custom lapidary sculpture and jewelry. Some of my pieces are found through out the house and they are for sale. I work with quartz primarily, cutting small pieces, hand held and pendants, and also have a collection of quartz lit up in light bases of old growth juniper. I work on pieces most days in my studio. Tours are available, so if you have a raw piece of stone that you've been wanting cut or polished, bring it in and lets see what can happen.
I look forward to meeting you and sharing my little piece of Bend. Cheers, Lee
Lee was a great host. She left very clear directions and was quick to respond to any questions. Her home is great, with all the amenities you need. The room was spacious with a bay window. It's just a few blocks north of downtown Bend with all of its wonderful breweries. Lee was also a wonderful person to talk to with an abundance of knowledge about Oregon. I highly recommend staying here.
Lee Marie's house was very welcoming and comfortable! The backyard was our own little piece of paradise. beautiful art and eclectic design. Seemed like a very safe neighborhood as well
The room was really affordable, and the location was pretty great. We met Lee's son as well, who was also staying in the house and was quite friendly.
There were also two other couples staying in the house at the same time as us. All 6 of us were sharing the same bathroom, and the three rooms were all side by side with zero soundproofing. Everyone was really nice, and we all tried really hard to be as quiet as possible, but the house is very creaky and you can hear absolutely everything - expect to wake up whenever the first person in the house wakes up. You could also hear conversations and snoring from other rooms - awkward.
The room is really affordable, but as someone who likes a bit of privacy I think I would have preferred to spend a bit more and get to sleep / shower / use the bathroom when I wanted.
Great location and nice accommodations. We were able to bike downtown to check out all that Bend has to offer. We even met the other group staying at this house while we were out brewery hopping. Lee was not home during our visit (I think it's a second home?). But she gave very explicit instructions for getting into our room and was very quick with responses during our stay. Great experience, would recommend.
This was a good stay, very easy to get in and settled. The house is in a nice and quiet neighborhood.
The check in process was very smooth. There are two rooms open and each room has a key lock which made me feel more comfortable about sharing the house with another traveler. Great location.
