Clean, comfortable and affordable stay in a house shared w/ other airbnb travelers, in mid-town Bend. Just minutes from the downtown scene, where you will find good food and lots of beer.

Rent 1 of 4 bedrooms with access to 2 shared bathroom. Sleeps two in a double bed.

The space

Located in the middle of Bend Oregon, my house is a great base for exploring the city and beyond. Whether you'd like to take a hike up Pilot Butte, grab a local beer, take off to see Dillon Falls on the Deschutes River or ski Mt. Bachelor, it feels like you are only minutes away.

I open my home to you for your enjoyment during your stay in Bend. I have four bedrooms for my airbnb guests. The two bathrooms are shared for my airbnb guest, as well.
The kitchen may be used by guests as well, ready with cookware and basic spices. Just bring your main ingredients to cook your own meals 'at home'. Of course, if you choose to eat out, there are many great choices 5 minutes to downtown. Deschutes Brewery, Silver Moon Brewery, Taj Palace, Brother Johns, or the classic Pine Tavern are all recommended choices.

I cut custom lapidary sculpture and jewelry. Some of my pieces are found through out the house and they are for sale. I work with quartz primarily, cutting small pieces, hand held and pendants, and also have a collection of quartz lit up in light bases of old growth juniper. I work on pieces most days in my studio. Tours are available, so if you have a raw piece of stone that you've been wanting cut or polished, bring it in and lets see what can happen.

I look forward to meeting you and sharing my little piece of Bend. Cheers, Lee

We were made to feel welcome in messages we received. Lee Marie seemed like a really nice, warm person from these, although we left before meeting her. The instructions for the lock on the front door, keys, and where our room was were very clear and we had no problem there. The room had a faint unpleasant odor when we opened the door. There was a note not to open any windows and doors in the house because of outdoor air quality due to wildfires. So I think it just hadn't been aired out for a while. The double mattress was really, really uncomfortable, not sure if it was old or inexpensive or something else. I like firm mattresses and my husband likes soft, so it wasn't that. The two pillows were foam type, flat and flabby. Neither one of us slept very well at all. This was not the room in the photo, maybe the other rooms have better beds. Other than that it seemed like a nice house, lots of things to look at, such as a collection of the owner's crystals in a big case. If it weren't for the bed and the stuffiness of the room we would have been fine.

Response from Lee Marie:
Thank you for taking the time to write a review, Anne. Yes, unfortunately, your visit was during the time of thousands of acres being on fire all over the Pacific Northwest. Here in Bend, we experienced some 'hazardous' air quality due to smoke being blown in to town and hanging out awhile. Keeping the windows and doors shut, became a saver haven for people, as well as pets. As for your opinion of the quality of the mattress and pillows, it just goes to show you that I can not please everyone, but most folks do report how well they sleep after using this room. I ask often, as I do want feedback. I am sorry that you did not see/use the extra pillows that I provide, that were up in the closet.

Lee Marie's place was wonderful. The decor was very cool and the location was perfect- walking distance to downtown, but in a quiet neighborhood. We would definitely love to stay again the next time we're in Bend!

Lee Marie's place is amazing! Lovely home with interesting decor and great amenities. I was unclear at first that this is a hotel-like situation, where you can arrive any time after the check-in time, let yourself in, and won't necessarily see Lee Marie. But she provides clear instructions on what to do, and there are sticky notes with instructions for stuff around the house (the only confusion was around the TV remotes). She rents out the entire house, and I got to meet three other guests but never saw Lee Marie, alas. Comfortable bed, clean and relaxing atmosphere, good amenities - recommended!

For me, hosting is like opening my home to "friends I just haven't met yet!" My listings are each unique sanctuaries and are offered to YOU in your travels.

I began hosting travelers after my 1st airbnb experience as a guest, while visiting my son, away at college in Tacoma Washington. These past five years hosting continues to be a fantastic experience. I love it!

I really enjoy talking with guests and making sure that the accommodations are clean and secure for your enjoyment. An added benefit; I love watching the social interaction between guests, as they share my home with other travelers. I think we all crave the unexpected social interaction and Airbnb certainly provides an opportunity to cross paths with interesting and fun people from around our world. This gives me the chance to share my favorite places to eat, drink and explore Central Oregon with folks that have chosen to check out Bend and beyond.

I am current on my operating license and paying room tax in Bend and abiding by the rules of my land use permit. As a responsible host, I have educated myself on the city requirements. Your reservations are safe with me.

Welcome to Central Oregon! I look forward to hosting your stay!
