Andrew and Alex were wonderful hosts. Very friendly and respectful couple. Their dog is a real people-lover.
The cottage itself is the ideal place to stay whilst in the area. Clean, cosy, and located in a beautiful setting.
Wish them all the best!
Great location to get into the bottom of the Lake District. Welcoming couple, lovely dog and a comfy bed. What more do you need?!
We spent one night in Andrew and Alex's house and it was really nice. The room was cosy and they recommended us some beautiful places around the Lakes. Definitely a great choice in a not-tourist area.
Found it exactly as expected; lovely cosy cottage, clean, fantastic location, and really welcoming couple. We were greeted with a freshly brewed cuppa (from Andrew's tea range!) and lovely biscuits.. and friendly Basel! Would stay again :)
2 nights here and it was so cool, loved every minute of it!!
Andrew and Alex are lovely people and very welcoming, there house is cosy and clean with and unreal view of the river and old buildings opposite it.
This place is ideal as its in the quite non tourist area of the lake district but so close to everything in the area.

Beautiful setting. Very comfortable bed and lovely decor in the bedroom. Andrew and Alex were very friendly and helpful hosts.
Andrew and Alex have a very beautiful, special home and if you want to live in a real cottage, theirs is perfect. They were great hosts, very friendly and communicative and made us feel very at home. They have a very good knowledge of country walks and shared a whole host of maps with us! The house is the perfect getaway if you are looking for something quiet, away from touristy areas and special!
Andrew and Alex were perfect Hosts. My accommodation was clean, airy, bright, spacious and bathroom facilities were great. Full use of kitchen if required and a washing machine available to use. WiFi was excellentt. The most adorable home quite befitting with the area and such a relaxing and cosy ambience at the Cottage. Basil was also a very well behaved boy and always ready for a pat if one was offering. Thanks for a lovely stay and advice given on travel and touring enquiries, definitely a place to recommend.
