We encourage our guests to pull into the driveway and park on the right side of the courtyard facing, or backed-in towards, the patio area. Between our cars and yours, our courtyard becomes a bit tight, therefore, we ask that our guests please bring only one vehicle.
Once here and parked, enjoy a stretch and quick look around our private garden before walking into your own private entrance and space. There is a small staircase inside providing access between the entry level and the crib's living space.
Guests are welcome to use the patio in the courtyard area. It is a shared space.
Interaction with guests
We have provided our guests with a guide book that offers information about local restaurants, shops, cultural events, and maps. We are usually available during daytime hours, and will be glad to offer any guidance our guests might need.
Other things to note
The crib space is light and airy. Be aware that the crib has skylights, shaded only by the tree limbs above. This space is best for the early riser or heavy sleeper. Typically, this is a quiet neighborhood, but do expect to hear birds chirping. If you're a light sleeper at night, keep an ear peeled for the hoots of our two visiting owls.
Smoking is prohibited, and sorry…no pets. We supply a microwave for simple convenience, but ask that meals not be prepared in the crib space. Please join us in being mindful of our neighbors at all times.
For three day holiday weekends, we require a minimum two night stay.
Lastly, we request that you please adhere to our 11 a.m. check out, so that we can prepare for our next guests. Thank you.
Three years ago my wife, Chris, and I moved from NY state down to the Eastern Shore of Maryland, to the town of Easton. We love it here. I am a photographer, enjoying the new subject matter surrounding me to capture. I am also an avid cyclist, either heading out into the farmland or waterside for long rides with my pals, or taking the simple town bike into Easton proper for an ice cream, coffee, or farmers market run.
Chris is not only the brains of this operation, but also finds the time to own and operate a dealer's booth at a local antique mart. It is filled to the brim with funky and imaginative decorative items for the home.
Leaving NY was a bit tough. We miss the variety in ethnic cuisine, and cultural events that NYC offers, but we're finding similar possibilities here too, just in a smaller community setting. We have the Avalon Theater that brings to us exceptional musical talent. So too a wonderful art museum that is regularly changing its exhibits. There are several restaurants in the area that satisfy, and in settings you could never find up there. Need a coffee? Check out 'Rise Up'. One cup, you'll be wanting the name of our real estate agent.
Easton is the cultural hub for the Delmarva peninsula. With the immediate towns of Oxford and St. Michaels nearby, we're the Cape Cod and Hamptons of the Washington DC crowd. They come here to get away, to relax, to have fun.
We're already here.
