This a second home that we own in a vacation resort. So it is completely like being on vacation . There is a lobby with reception area where you can buy tickets to the parks, purchase sundries, have packages delivered, send a fax, and so forth...
There are 2 great pools, a tiki bar, jacuzzi/hot tub, deck with lounge chairs, indoor basketball court, gym, very nicely landscaped grounds. Free Parking.
The unit will be completely cleaned prior to your arrival and upon your departure. Maid service can be requested in advance or even at the lobby anytime during the visit for a fee.
Activites such as Movie night on a big screen TV by the pool. BBQ, and other activites.
You can drive up to your front door, and do not need to walk through the lobby for daily access. It is like a home away from home. All the amenities of a resort or hotel, with the comforts and conveniece of home.

Since we are from miami, we normally drive and use our own vehicle to get around but the resort does have shuttle service available to Disney, Universal and sea World as well as a free shuttle to lake buena vista outlet mall.

Overall this is a very nice place. It is very convenient to Disney and the Gaylord Palms. Universal is 20 to 30 minute drive away and the airport is 20 to 30 minuets away as well. There is a super wall-mart very close.
I like to rent homes rather than stay in hotels so that I can cook for myself. This kitchen had a sensible amount of cooking hardware. However most places have some basic food supplies, probably left over from previous guests, that makes cooking a little easier. This kitchen is completely bare. Not even coffee filters or a salt shaker (except for the 197 filters I left behind, I guess). I hate to buy a pint of olive oil in order to use just one tablespoon.
Another major problem for me was the bright streetlight right outside the bedroom window. With the blinds closed AND a spare blanket hung to cover the windows it was still very bright. Don't rent this place if you like sleeping in a dark room!
The only other hiccup was an unanswered call to fix the ice maker. Miriam was very nice and responsive when I reported this problem but it did not get fixed.
