It is a beautiful condo! If you are looking for a condo next to the sea with a breathtaking view, this is the one!
We are happy that you are interested in renting our condo.
Full 180° panorama from the two terraces of the condo, where you will enjoy sunrise on the sea, sunset on the Arch of Los Cabos, and even whales jumping during the winter season ! None of the terraces has view on the pool (no disturbing noise from people at the swimming pool), and no front view on a building. Our condo has an incredible view as very few condos in the condominium and in Cabo have.
There is no better place for relaxing and enjoying life and you will probably want to cancel your return home to stay there permanently !
Details of the condominium:
The condo is located within a condominium with a perfect location. It has access to two private beaches (almost private), where you can enjoy the reef while scuba diving in the middle of tropical fishes or surfing on another one (one of the few surfing spots of Cabo). You will find all the furniture and equipment you might need in the condo. Also the condominium has pools, tennis ground, pool-bar service, security and is at a very short walking distance from one the best restaurant of Cabo (Mona Lisa), and very close to Costco and other malls.
There are two parking lots in the condominium, all are free of charge. One is close to the entrance of the condo, and the other a bit further –see map on the photos of the condo (if there is no place to park it in the closest one, you can still use it to unload any of your luggage and use the other one to park your car).
The condominium is very quiet.
More details of our condo:
Decorated by an Italian designer, this condo will be your perfect place to relax. A plan of the condo with its main surfaces & dimensions can be found in the pictures of the condo.
A huge living & dining room with high roof, equipped with a stereo (compatible with MP3 & AUX 3.5 entrance like iPod) for the musical ambience. We have left some DVDs and CDs for you but you are invited to bring yours. An open kitchen with a brand new cook (installed in September 2013), refrigerator, food processor, microwave, coffee machine, blender, and all the dishes, glasses etc you might need to have your breakfast and lunch/diners.
One bedroom with closet, alarm clock, TV for DVD use – we have some DVs, but we recommend you bring yours. From the bed, you will see the sea of Cortez and the sunrise every morning !
One bathroom with bathtub equipped with raining shower, towels, hair dryer, and a washing machine.
As mentioned before, the condo has 2 terraces, one next to the main room with two sunbeds (or “starbeds” if you want to enjoy skyseeing at night) in complete privacy. The other one is next to the living room, with a stone table for all your meals while enjoying the view of The Arch and Cabo San Lucas bay.
Each room is equipped with a ceiling fan. We do not have air conditioning. Air conditioning is available with US$15 extra per day, but in winter there is no need for air conditioning as the temperatures are cooler.
Internet is available in the common areas of the condominium and in the pool (we will provide you the password). If you want internet in the condo, you need to bring your own computer and LAN internet (not wireless) can be provided with an extra charge. The condo does not have phone for external calls.
The condo is on the 3rd and a half floor with unfortunately no lift but it is worth the small effort to go up there to benefit from the view it offers...
For the amenities of the condo, you can check the webpages of condominium.
We expect you to take care of the condo like if it was yours.
For safety reasons children are not allowed in the condo as the terraces have no protection for small children.
In case damage occurs to the condo, or its furniture, we will have to charge you the cost of the repairs. If the cost of the damage and its reparation its higher than the deposit, then we will have to charge you with the difference.
Smoking is not allowed.
Since nature is present everywhere in los Cabos take care of cleaning the kitchen immediately after its use if you don’t want to be disturbed by a few bugs local to the area (ants).
If you want to be picked-up at the airport, we can arrange it for you at a cost of US$90.
Please read the manual of the condo when arriving.
If you are planning to stay for more than a week, then it is necessary to have a cleaning service each week (we will arrange it, with an extra cost of US$50 not included in the rental price).
For your convenience we adapt the check-in to your schedule; nevertheless since we have a special service for the check-in services, we have to schedule an appointment for your arrival (the most convenient for you). If the person doing the check-in waits for more than 15 min, additional charges will apply.
We are very pleased of having you in our condo!! We hope you will spend a wonderful time here and in Cabo.
Please read the manual of the condo when arriving.
No smoking, No parties and children allowed (safety reasons)
The Following pages will provide you some useful information and tips about our Condo.
1. The decoration in white is beautiful but it is fragile! Please help us by not using chairs, sofa and the bed while you are wet. It would leave horrible stains on it!!
3.We care about the environment and we hope you do. As you know Cabo is in a protected and desertic area, and water is very scarce. Please use is with moderation.
(website hidden) you like cactus? Help us keeping ours alive! Even though they are from the desert, they still need a few amount of water ;). There is nothing as enjoyable as at sunset, watering the plants of the terraces and the ones outside of the condo! Our plants will really appreciate it!
5.The internet wifi password can be asked at the pool bar or at the manager’s office, and it works outside the condo and in the common areas.
After your departure, there will be a general check of all the points described in the manual, and if there is any damage, it will be charged to you, so please check it during the check in.
Gabby arranged to have someone, in our case Hector, meet us when we arrived. He was warm, welcoming and able to give us several tips about the place, and the area that were helpful. The directions to Missiones were mostly helpful, however the large "sign" referenced in the directions was not really there (the structure was, but not the actual name). We became very good at using the "returndo" exits off the main road to find our condo. I would suggest updating these directions so they are accurate with the state of the location now. The staff at Missiones are wonderful; very friendly, helpful, and interested in seeing that we enjoyed our stay. Also the other residents, some who live there full time, others seasonal guest like us were also great. There are a lot of stairs, but we were strategic in planning our up and down trips. The view from the condo was definitely worth it; it is truly lovely. We appreciated the fact that we were away from downtown Cabo, and the noise and bustle of town. We fell asleep every night to the sound of the waves, and awoke to birds, and sunshine. Very lovely.... Thank you!
We truly enjoyed staying at your condo. We didn't mind the stairs either. Beaches on either side were great and we left a beach umbrella there for other people to use.
The view was spectacular and the bed was fine. We slept soundly and lazily enjoyed our days there.
I think what bothered us more was the lack of upkeep of the condo.
1) Broken screens - which we fixed so the mosquitos didn't come in.
2) Broken screen door handles - which we improvised so we wouldn't have to touch the screen
3) We didn't know if the water was good to drink: no notes in the book on that
There was a jug of water but no water cooler or how long it had been there so we went and bought more water.
4) The stovetop beeps if there is anything left on top - no notes in the book on this issue. We couldn't figure out what was beeping all the time.
5) there was a smell of sewer throughout the condo whenever we came back from going to the beach. It cleared up as soon as we opened the doors.
6) the tub tile was broken and not very appealing.
7)the fridge leaked as it needs to be defrosted. We used up a whole roll of paper towels drying out the fridge on a regular basis not something one should be doing on vacation.
8) the toilet leaked so we had to leave towels on the floor to soak it up. The towels were black and filthy from soaking up the toilet leak and were washed while we were there.
9) BBQ? what grill?
10) Closet door broken - why?
11) Proper weather taping around front door and deck doors will keep the mosquitos out. As it stands now it doesn't matter if the screens are closed the mosquitos can find their way in.
12) What should we do with recyclables and garbage? - no notes in the book to tell us what to do?
13) wifi? Why not? everyone else did
14) TV? why not? most everyone else did that we talked too.
This condo should not be at the price it is listed at with so many things wrong with it.
A little tender loving care would make this condo spectacular but as it is now it is rapidly falling apart and should not be priced cheaper for all the problems we had to encounter.
Would I recommend it? Yes but only if there are improvements.
Gaby was good a communicating before and during our trip and I felt like the apartment was what it said it was.
As with other reviewers, I found the apartment to be a bit dated but the incredible view made up for most of that. The kitchen is quite small and not really easy for cooking in. More like a kitchenette.
The one big problem was a funny mildew smell in the bathroom and a leak from the toilet that Gaby said would be fixed by a plumber but was not. It made it unpleasant to walk around without shoes in the bathroom which was annoying.
The view really is the greatest part of this place. If you are an early riser the sunrises are amazing and sitting outside in the evening to watch the sunset was great. We really even did see whales from the terraces.
As with other people, I also found the bed to be incredibly uncomfortable, as did my husband. I actually purchased a new pillow so I could try and be more comfy.
The beach that is walking distance from the apartment is not for swimming so be aware that you need a car or taxi's to really do anything ( I would highly recommend a car).
I found the wifi to be easy enough to use but still got an international plan on my phone so we could be in touch with friends who were in Cabo also. The pool area is nice and the bartender is very nice too.
All in all the apartment was okay but if you like views/sunsets/sunrises its a good spot to stay.
As stated in many of the previous reviews, you just can't beat the view from this lovely place. Having coffee and watching the whales from the balcony in the morning was our favourite time. The place was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Some fixing up could be done on a few areas to upgrade but generally it was very nice. The stairs up were definitely not for the unfit, especially if you were coming up from the beach. Unfortunately, the man who met us at the beginning promised to come back with our USB stick loaded for us so we could use the internet, but he never did. This meant I needed to make a treck down the stairs to the bar if I wanted the internet. A bit inconvenient but I guess it kept me healthy. The only other negatives were the hard bed and that the listing advertised a BBQ which wasn't (website hidden) must be done on the stove inside so if you are planning to cook during your stay be prepared that it gets pretty warm. Luckily it was very pleasant in the evenings and we could open all the doors and windows to get a breeze.
Great location and easy to find with Gaby's directions. I would recommend.
The reservation was canceled 7 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
I would describe the hosting and place as follows: honest description of facility ( w view, bedroom, kitchen, living room, washer, pools and other amenities.) Condo is neat, modern, very livable. It is up 5 flights of stairs, which is long with a >50# suitcase ;) The main bedroom bed is firm. The list of rules is mostly common sense and not obtrusive. I would like any staying with me to extend similar considerations. It does take at least 2 hrs to get to and from the airport on HWY 1. While the cabo airport is small vs US airports, it is not as efficient and takes time. I checked in with a local attendant who I had access to 24/7 via phone and email. He helped with luggage and recommendations. Place is stocked with helpful maps, brochures and travel books. Traditional dishes are fantastic. I used the snorkel and boogie board. I parked a rental car in the parking lot, which was secure for 1 week, with both a 24 hr gate and attendant. The condo neighbors and other hotel guests were inviting and helpful; the grounds, (with two pools, walking path to both private beach and to world recommended restaurant 'the sunset de la mona lisa', trimmed foliage, and active pool bar staff with drinks and dinner) were fantastic. Locals I met in travel highlighted Missiones del Cabo as 1 of top 2 resorts/Condos with best views in Cabo. I'd have to agree. It sits just perfectly on the coast to have view of downtown Cabo San lucas that is exquisite both day and night. Last, the main bedroom has its own patio, with sliding doors and curtains. Waking up each morning to the sunshine and the sounds of the ocean and falling asleep to them is surreal. Never experienced before; trumps luxury hotel room you could have stayed at in US without ocean access, view and balconies for outdoor breakfast with ease. Highly recommend. This place is worth every cent--or peso--depending how far along you are on your immersion into Mexico ;)
Paridise with a scoop of reality.
First, the condo is amazing in every way. Decor is nice, kitchen is very modern, the view is flat out breath taking. I can't say enough about how wonderful of a place the condo is. The neighborhood is wonderful, and everyone from the staff to the neighbors were a joy to be around.
Some of the annoying things are:
1. The stair way to heaven into the condo does get old, or makes you feel old.
2. The complete lack of wifi. I know its a vacation, but the inability to answer emails made it difficult to be away.
3. The bar by the pool, which does have wifi, doesn't keep regular hours, so its impossible to plan around.
1. I'm from the north, and the lack of A/C made the first few nights pretty hard to get comfortable. I bought a couple box fans, and once the condo was converted into a tornado, I slept great.
2. The bed is super stiff. That didn't hurt me, but my girlfriend's back was wrecked from it.
3. The bugs; the first night we foolishly left the bathroom window open, and the mosquitoes got in through the screen which has gaps. We were eatin to the point of requring blood transfusions. From then on, we slept in terror for the next few nights. Once we learned the tricks of the condo to keep them out, it was fine.
Overall, the place is amazing, and I highly recommend it to anyone that wants to get off the beaten path. I'm not one for the huge hotel resorts, and this place perfectly fit my expectations. Wonderful place, I can't say enough positive things about it.
Hello my name is Gabriela.
I am a lawyer, and I am compromised with the protection of the environment. Living in Cabo made me feel the great thing that is to live in contact with nature, and how important is to protect it.
I think that God gave us a beautiful world to live, and we have put ourselves in cities with no contact with the beauty of the nature, which is really a pity.
I love my country, great nature, great archeological and colonial sites, delicious food, and great people. I think that anyone that comes to Mexico and to Cabo, will try to come back as often as possible.
If you come to Cabo, I will assure you that you will try to come to live here!
