We are a young couple renting a private room with a shared bathroom and kitchen in our apartment in South Brooklyn
Location & Neighborhood-
We are 1 block away from the nearest subway.
The apartment is located just a few blocks from both Carroll Gardens and Park Slope, and is a 10-15 minute walk away from Ft. Green, the Barclay's Center, and the Atlantic Terminal- which gives you access to the 2,3,4,5,B,D,N,Q, and R trains (connection is available to the Long Island Railroad as well.) Most of the subways are 2-3 stops from Manhattan. From our apartment, you can be in lower Manhattan in 20 minutes.
On our block, there are three great restaurants, a 24 hour grocery store, a liquor/wine store, taco shop, burger joint and a cafe that opens at 7AM. One block away are the best bagels in Brooklyn and within a 10 minute walk there are countless bars, restaurants, and great shopping areas.
Is it a medium sized bedroom with a full sized bed, private quarter bathroom, and has a large closet and dresser. The room is located in the back of the apartment, therefore it's very quiet and gets great light. There is a twin sized mattress available as well, therefore we can easily accommodate 3 people.
You'll also have access to our full-sized kitchen and bathroom.
We are in a small building and know most our neighbors very well, they are all very friendly and respectful.
-We are a young couple, both working in restaurants and bars. We generally don't spend much time at home and often work long and late hours. We probably won't see you very much, but we can offer tips on good places to eat and drink and cool things to do.

This was my first airbnb experience and my biggest concern was who I would be living with. That being said, Travis and Brittany are EXTREMELY cool and very down to Earth. I look forward to remaining friends with them for years to come. They are very mindful of providing as comfortable of an environment as possible.
The bed was quite comfortable and the A/C came in handy during the muggy NYC Summer.
This room is an INCREDIBLE price for NYC, but if this is your first time living in NYC, you will definitely be shocked with how far (OR NOT) your money will go for your housing in this city.
Apartment is very close to train(s) as well as great shopping and dining to the East and West. Was able to get to Manhattan in about 15 minutes whenever needed.
Nice rooftop access as well.
Would definitely be open to staying with them again.
I had a great times in this apartment with Brittany and Travis.
First of all because i have been in many places trought airbnb, there are a few things that every customer needs to know about one place to be and enjoy.These are the follows;
THE ROOM is big, bright, clean and charm with a comfortable and queen size bed, big closets and finally a small toilet but enought for your needs.also they will give you clean lines and blankets.
THE APARTMENT is nice, a good kitchen with everything that you will need to cook, bid fridge with space for your food.
THE LOCATION, is great, two blocks from a subway station that will takes less than 20 m to Manhattan. Is a new growing and safe area with young people, nice restaurants, bars, delis, stores and is also very close to one of the most comercial areas in Brooklyn the fifth avenue in park slope, wich is near to the prospect park.
THE ROOMATES: Brittany and Travis are the best hosts that you can imagine, very friendly, laid back, charming, they will help you with everything that you will need, also recommend you good places to go in brooklyn and Manhattan. They work a lot but they are always open to talk with you and if they have time you can take a good coffe/tea or drink with them and enjoy with interesting conversations. In conlusion they are real and very good guys.
For all these reasons i highly recommend their place to other visitors in Brooklyn.
