The Space

This übercentral apartment covers two floors - with kitchen, living room and bath on the ground floor, and bedroom in the basement. My friends call it The Dungeon, but there are no wall torches to be found! Only heated terracotta floors, a washer/dryer, a double bed and art on the walls. The apartment is quite spacious and covers around 100m2/1075 sqft in total.

It couldn’t be more centrally located. If you stand on the doorstep and look right, you’ll have a perfect view of Christiansborg, which houses the Danish parliament, right across the canal. Uh, and if you go on a canal cruise, Gammel Strand is your stop! My street is one-way and not easily accessible by car, nor is it a main pedestrian artery, so traffic is minimal and it’s generally nice and quiet.

A two-minute walk on cobbled streets, and you will be on the main pedestrian street, Strøget. The closest grocery store is the one located at the bottom floor of the upscale department store Illum. It's called Irma. The area is abundant with shops, restaurants, cafés and bars. Kongens Nytorv metro station is a 4 minute walk away.

It is right in the centre of the oldest part of the city, and that means lots of churches around. Amongst others the one the queen frequents. There will be a bit of ringing every hour on the hour and a bit more on Sundays around 10, but maybe it’s time to get up anyways? Lots of really nice brunch places right down Læderstræde.

There’s wi-fi, and the apartment is suitable for two people, who are okay with sleeping in the same bed (140x200 cm).

Guest Access

As a guest you have access to the entire apartment. There is no yard connected to the building, but the canals are just 20 meters away, the benches there have a lovely view of the water with the parliament building as a backdrop.

Interaction with Guests

I will most likely be there at check-in, but after that you have the place all to yourselves.

  • Our stay at Anne Sofie's was wonderful. The apartment is very cute and is surprisingly spacious for a one bedroom apartment. It is in a central location with everything within walking distance including great shopping on the Stroget.
Anne Sofie was very easy to communicate with and has excellent taste in furniture!
I would definitely recommend anyone travelling to Copenhagen stay in the 'downtown dungeon'!

  • Anne Sofie welcomed us warmly, she is a delightful and helpful host. The appartment is comfortable (we loved heating floor in the bedroom), clean and "très stylé". It is situated in the midst of everything in Copenhagen. We spend a splendid time in the capital of design :) We highly recommend it !

  • Anne Sofie was so extremely accommodating and the place was absolutely gorgeous. Its location is supremely prime and perfect for seeing everything around Copenhagen. We mostly walked everywhere or rode a bike and it was no problem at all. One of our favorite Airbnb stays so far!

I like long hellos and short goodbyes, and also brewing coffee. Sometimes, I pretend to know the answers, when it's not my turn in Trivial Pursuit, and I tend to get a little nervous around overly optimistic people. What are they up to? I prefer lying down or standing to sitting down; it's just so in-between. I have absolutely no time for celery, malfunctioning electronic devices and poor manners, but thoroughly enjoy witty conversations, badminton when winning, discovering uncharted land and beautitious shoes. If I could cook, explore and read books every day, I would be a happy camper. My friends say I'm quite polite and easy-going. I think I agree. Also, I work for Airbnb in Copenhagen.
