Had a great weekend with friends, in this nice apartment. Everything was fine and our hosts had some nice places to visit in amsterdam. Such a nice and friendly couple. Super clean apartment in the city centre, with nice bars around the house. Would like to come back :)
Very nice apartment with beautiful view and excellent location. The stairs up to the apartment is very steep and long. Elderly or weak people beware.
Jak and Babs were fantastic hosts. They were extremely easy to communicate with and were very accommodating with our check in and check out times. Their apartment was absolutely perfect! It was in a fantastic & very central location. Additionally, the tram was only steps away. We were very comfortable in the apartment with the two bedrooms & the hammock in the living room was perfect to relax on! I would recommend their apartment to anyone traveling to Amsterdam.
The location of the apartment is great and it's very easy to get everywhere from there. There's also a bike rental place just around the corner. Babs was extremely nice and helpful with everything and they had a lot of maps and recommendations for us.
The apartment is very large and beautiful with amazing details and a nice atmosphere. The stairs to the apartment are extremely steep but at the same time hilarious. The only negative part was that because the apartment is directly on Rembrandtplein it does get loud at night (we stayed for a weekend).
We were also able to leave our luggage to the apartment after check out as our flight left only in the evening which was extremely nice from Babs and Jak!
Overall, we had a lovely stay in this unique and beautiful apartment. Thank you!
Wonderful place and romantic home with a beautiful view over the Rembrandtsquare.
Placed in the middle of Amsterdam close to all the "should see's".
Really enjoyed everything about the place.
Absolutely recommend this as a perfect stay.
Babs is really sweet and helpful.
(Not for people with trouble walking steep stairs)
Jak and Babs apartment is in a great location on Rembrandtplein, right above all the action. It's perfect for people watching if you're into that, and it's in good condition with everything you could need. Although they were out of town, they had a friend help us with check-in and she was very nice, showed us around, and gave us some breakfast and lunch recommendations. The one thing I would mention is that the stairs to the apartment are VERY steep with narrow treads! Definitely not for older people or those with mobility problems and it's pretty difficult to get heavy bags up and down, but we were totally fine with it and will always remember the hilariously steep staircase during our stay in Amsterdam. Also, because it's directly on Rembrandt Square it does get pretty loud on weekend nights. All in all, it was exactly what we were looking for though. If you want a unique, exciting stay in the middle of Amsterdam then this is the place for you!
Jak and Bab's apartment was ideal for our stay in Amsterdam.
Check in was very simple and the guys gave us the lowdown on the best spots / areas to go in town.
The apartment itself was great. Very clean and tidy, and comfortably coped with our party of four over a weekend. The b&w speakers were also a very nice touch.
Location is great, right on Rembrandtplein. Allowing easy access by walking, cycling, or getting the tram around.
The stairs up might prove a challenge for some people, but we coped fine.
Thanks for having us! Would definitely recommend.
