  • My fiance and I stayed at Frank and Melissa's home for 10 days. The stay at their home was truly an amazing experience. Even though their reviews are amazing, I was first hesitant to stay near residential Kailua bay and considered staying somewhere like Waikiki since it was our first time in Hawaii. I am SO glad we decided to stay with Frank and Melissa because after spending few hours in Waikiki and we both knew we would have regretted staying there. Their home was perfect and so airy. Their common spaces were always clean and smelled so good! We took surfing lesson with Frank and we were both able to stand up by the first class. It was my first time surfing so it felt incredible to stand up after our first class. I love the neighborhood, Frank and Melissa were a pleasure to communicate with and their kids were the two cutest little angels. I would recommend staying with Frank and Melissa!

  • Great place to stay. The bed is so comfortable, place is spotless and hosts are very friendly. I usually stay in a private place because my husband and I like to have privacy on vacation, but this time we were in bit of a pinch. Now I think it's a fantastic way to spend a trip. They made us great coffee in the morning and as much privacy as we wanted. They have a nice backyard, kitchen and clean bathroom. What else could you ask for. We enjoyed the stay!

  • My fiance and I stayed with Mellisa and Frank for three days after visiting Honolulu for a scientific conference. The stay in Kailua was incredible! Although we were out and about each day exploring Oahu, it was so nice to come back to a residential area and have a quiet night in their home. We never actually got to meet Melissa, but Frank was wonderful and helpful every step of the way. He offered advice on places to visit and eat, and even offered surfing lessons! Checking in and out was super easy and they were really easy to get in contact with while traveling. It was a great stay and I would definitely stay with them again!

  • Frank & Melissa have 3 Airbnb rooms in a quiet middle-class Kailua neighborhood. It's a short walk to the long and lovely Kailua Beach. They have two small children that we saw very little of because the family mostly lives in a detached unit over the garage. Melissa is a doctor and was working at the hospital during much of the daylight hours. Consequently, Frank was the one we saw most of, and he was always bustling around keeping everything tidy and handling most of the interactions with guests. The house, all its rooms and the front and back yards were always clean and tidy. Each room had a shelf in the refrigerator and another shelf in the shared bathroom. Frank gave surf lessons to two men who were staying there the same time as we were, and they reported that they were able to stand up and ride some waves after the lessons. He was helpful with suggestions of places to see.

"You are welcome to use the kitchen and the dining room to cook small quick meals" Attention cela signifie: demandez l'autorisation à Franck avant de prévoir un repas même léger, simple et rapide). Décevant par rapport à toutes nos autres expériences Airbnb sur Oahu et Big Island!

  • For my wife and I, who have been to many places on many continents, this was our first stay at a B&B facility. We had chosen the place after failing to find a hotel in more known places. What a delightful surprize we had! (1) In hotels, there has been always something not optimal; if it was too noisy, of course we did not like it, and if too quiet, we would be itching to get out. Staying at this place, it was more like home or home of close friends. We felt so comfortable. It was so nice to sleep listening to winds and raindrops and watching palm leaves; (2) Melissa and Frank, and their angelic two children aged close to our own grandchildren were so nice to be around and talk to. When we needed to go to a car rental agency or a Radioshack, Frank was so nice to offer us a ride; (3) The beach, less than 15 minutes of slow walk, was the best I have ever seen, so clean, so pristine, so little presence of humans and their deeds. President Obama is said to like this town and beach so much so that he spent two weeks in Kailua last year; (4) the town center is five minutes by car, and you can find a very nice bar stocked with good beers of the world and top-class seafood dishes, nice assortments of Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Thai restaurants; (5) To sum it up, we were so lucky to have found this town and this place.

  • Very much enjoyed our 4 night stay with Frank and Melissa. They provided a bright and airy clean room with a very comfortable bed. Frank was very knowledgeable about the island, fun to talk with and he let us borrow a beach chair and boogie board. The house is spacious with a great yard, only a couple of blocks from the beach on a quiet street. We would definitely consider staying here again if we had a need for a base in Kailua.

  • My boyfriend and I just finished up a wonderful week at Melissa and Frank's house in Kailua. The room was just as advertised -- clean, spacious, and comfortable. We took advantage of the very short walk to a GORGEOUS beach for sunrise and evening strolls, and we appreciated their advice on restaurants and sights to see on O'ahu. The kitchen was very well equipped and helped us keep trip costs down by eating in for breakfasts and several other meals. But best of all was meeting Melissa and Frank and their family. They are friendly and generous hosts, and sharing their house gave the trip a personality we wouldn't have otherwise gotten. Thanks so much!
