I am renting my second floor room for the month of December. The room has four separate areas; a bedroom, living room, study and private bathroom. The rooms are fully furnished, I'll include two sets of linens and a set of towels. I have a walk in closet and a couple of drawers, I can clear out some space in each for the future renter.
The first floor is common space for all roommates. We share a living room, kitchen, sun room and back porch. We have a W/D, dishwasher and microwave. Third floor has two rooms and a bathroom, shared by two tenants upstairs.
Now...about those tenants. I have two roommates; a girl who is an archivist for the National Archives and a boy who works in advertising for National Geographic. They are super cool, I mean they have to be to agree to let me rent my room to a stranger for a month. But anyone willing to live with two strangers for a month also has to be super cool and I'm looking forward to hearing from all you cool cats :) The boy works for home a couple days a week but goes out to eat most night as to not get stir crazy from being in the house all day. The girl recently moved to the city and spends time getting acquainted with new restaurants and bars in the area, she bakes goodies once or twice a month, which is SWEET. Pun intended.
I'm leaving for the month on a shoot in Philadelphia, I work in television and I thought it would be nice to save that month of rent considering I'd be gone for the full month.
If you'd like to stay through the new year we can work something out.
P.S. I have a dog, but she will not be on the premises.

I am a Los Angeles native and people always look at me with their head****d to the side and say "Why did you move here?" When it starts to get cold like this I ask myself the same question. I love the culture and history of DC not to mention the high skilled young professional crowd that knows how to have a good time. I'm passionate about family, social justice and media. My goal in life is to serve the public in some capacity, not sure what that is just yet.
I work in media and I love it! SO blessed to have a job that is fulling and I know I'm in the right place in life. I moonlight in politics and try to get people elected who champion my issues...primarily education.
