The apartment is HUGE by NYC standards and your hosts are 2 professional, friendly and highly entertaining Irish gentlemen: One is running a technology startup and the other works in the consulting industry. We love hosting people and have a deep knowledge of the city's best attractions....both the obvious and typically undiscovered! :)
Access to large living space in apartment with open plan Kitchen, Cable and Apple TV, an incredible sound system, fridge, microwave, oven etc. And of course the bathroom will be available for use and is fully equipped with bath and shower. Note: the bathroom is shared by other people living in the apartment but is kept very clean
We love entertaining our guests and always love giving our not-so touristy insider tips and recommendations about things to see and do. In the past, we have cooked a meal with guests, enjoyed a pint of Guinness in the local pub, watched a movie together etc. We have also had guests that keep to themselves, which is absolutely fine too. Whatever makes your stay the most enjoyable is what matters to us
The Financial District is one of the most up and coming neighborhoods in New York. It the thriving hub of all things business and money in the city and truly is a fascinating place to explore.
There is plenty of hustle and bustle during the weekdays but is yet wonderfully quiet and peaceful on weekends, a claim few areas in New York can enjoy
The best thing about the Financial District is the access and convenience of subways. All the major lines (including the express trains) converge down the narrower part of the island, allowing an easy commute to any part of the city very quickly. Obviously this means, less money spent on cabs and less time wasted

I had an awesome time, Gordon was very accommodating and allowed me to check in whenever I needed to be there. He respected my privacy and ensured that I was comfortable. His loft had a great location in terms of proximity to Wall Street, bars, 9/11 memorial and other awesome things to do. The room was huge and I absolutely love the giant bean bag chairs. Both Gordon and his room mate are charming fellows, very friendly and easy to talk to.
I would definitely recommend this place to any lone traveller or otherwise.
Location was great! The apartment is huge :) I didn't get to meet Gordon, but his friend Alister was very nice. The only problem was the check-in time; which happened two hours later than what we had talked. But I'm happy with the overall stay.
My daughter and I stayed 5 days in the apartment of Gordon.
We had some wonderful days where we felt at home.
We were faced with an enormous hospitality and had everything we needed available.
The room was large, the bed good and the location perfect.
Gordon and his friends were incredibly helpful, kind and welcoming.
I have no doubt that I would choose to stay here again, and I give my warmest recommendations.
It was my first airbnb experience and I am really glad that I stayed with Kway and his roommates therefore. It was really easy to keep in touch with them, the room was spacious and you had your own privacy when you wanted it. The bed was comfortable and nice. The location is perfect! Many subway stations in the area and Wall Street right around the corner, the same for the ferrys to the Statue of Liberty. All in one the stay was just great! Just after some minutes you felt that you're staying with friends. I can highly recommend this appartment and I would stay there always again.
This was a great location for me! Everything I needed was within ten min walk! Great guys too, very helpful and personable. Great guys, very easy going and helpful. I'll will stay again when I head back to New York!! :D
Great location, great room, great guys!
Very welcoming hosts! It is a huge apartment very well located and near various metro lines. The room is huge as well, good bed.
We were travelling to NYC with limited budget and were really lucky to find this accommodation. The location is wonderful, Wall St is just a block away and the rest of Manhattan can easily reached by subway. Richard and his room mate Kway were quite helpful and trusting so any time we come back to NYC we would be happy to stay in their apartment again.
Richard was a very caring, nice and uncomplicated host. The location was perfect to explore Manhattan. Loads of cafes and restaurant are just steps away which also creates a lot of hustle and bustle at night but when you've walked around all day long you don't care about it anymore:)
Various subway lines are also close by. Getting around is very easy. The only improvement we would suggest is to put a little bit more attention to cleanliness. All in all our entire staying experience was good.
The apartment was absolutely amazing- very spacious, clean, and located in a convenient area that is close to everything in the financial district. Richard and his roommates offered some great ideas and advice about the city. The metro stop is within a 3 minute walk, which made getting anywhere in the city easy. My friends and I truly enjoyed ourselves.
