The Space

This is a light, comfortable, quiet and charming, one bedroom apartment in Noe Valley. It is an owner occupied 2-unit San Francisco Victorian, built 1900. Located in a lovely part of pretty San Francisco, the area has parks and tennis courts, gourmet restaurants (Incanto, La Chiccia, Blue Plate) all in walking distance, and excellent clothes and gift shopping along 24th street. The area well deserves the nickname "Gourmet Gulch" and also offers Thai, Japanese, Italian, Mexican, Indian, American Diners and Chinese food. In addition there's a local grocer, an excellent butcher, and the irresistible home made Mitchells ice-cream store not too far away. Situated 3 minutes walk from the J Church line, and in walking distance of BART, it is the perfect stop for a San Francisco experience.

The apartment has a private entrance on the street and offers over 500 sq.ft (55 sq.m) of living space. It opens to a living room and you walk back through to the bedroom and on again into the kitchen and bathroom. The bedroom has a queen bed with a high thread count linen; there is an additional sleeping option in the modern queen sofa bed in the living room – very comfortable. All linens and towels are provided. There is also a pack – n – play available for families with young babies. The kitchen offers a full kitchen, with cooker, oven, microwave, fridge and a table with seating for 4. Please note the living room and bedroom are linked without a door – see photographs! A curtain separates the two areas. The bedroom opens onto the kitchen which has the bathroom attached. It offers a bath with shower. There is Wi-Fi and TV, and the (website hidden) and Apple commuter buses stop around the corner. Everything you need for a professional visit or a vacation. This is not a apartment suitable for toddlers, but older kids and babies are fine!

It's just a quick ride to the Castro, Downtown, Union Square, Embarcadero, and the Waterfront by transport. Just 15 minutes by car to the Airport, with easy access and directions to and from. There’s also ample street parking if needed.

Interaction with Guests

We are available and eager to help! We usually greet our guests and check in with them to make sure everything is running smoothly, but have found that most guests have very busy schedules and are busy seeing all the sights of San Francisco!

The Neighborhood

This is a lovely neighborhood, pretty old houses, sweet gardens, lovely parks and playgrounds. There are several local hubs of shops, restaurants, coffee stores and transport all close, within walking distance.

Getting around

We have Muni close, are are within 10 - 12 minutes walk from Bart, the fast local transport system.

Other Things to Note

This is a quiet neighborhood, very much a family one with nearby parks and playgrounds . You do not need to go far to find all you need to cook something wonderful, or to go out to some excellent restaurants. It's right at your door step!

  • The flat was amazing and exactly as the listing (email hidden)arming.
The bed was very comfortable and the amenities were beyond expectation for an older home. The location was great, not too far from great restaurants and bars. We were even able to find parking all three nights right in front (it helped we had a compact car).

Rose and Sebastian were great and very nice. Rose left breakfast items in the fridge, which was a pleasant surprise. She was very sweet and made sure we were well taken care of on our stay. Would definitely stay here again on my next trip to SF.

  • Rose's apartment was so perfect for us! We were cosy and comfortable, Rose welcomed us personally and even generously stocked our fridge for breakfasts!
It's so convenient, just a few yards from the J line stop at 30th and Church St. and there's a good choice of cafes and restaurants nearby. We look forward very much to staying again when we next come to San Francisco.

  • Chose this spot b/c of close proximity to my place for my mother and aunts first visit to San Francisco. Highly recommended. Just a block away from the J-Church and a few mins walk to the commercial district on 24th St.

Rose was prompt in responding and a gracious host, even providing a few breakfast staples in the fridge and cupboard. Heard from my family that the bed and pull out sofa were extremely comfortable as well.

  • Rose and her Husband are amazing. The unit is nicer than it looks in the pictures and I Rose was so professional and friendly - we chatted for 20 minutes upon arrival as she walked me through everything. On top of that - she had even purchased fresh Milk, Eggs, Butter coffee etc. for me upon arrival. That is simply priceless.

I would absolutely stay there again. Thank you Rose!

  • San Francisco is the perfect city for a vacation, there's something for everybody there, and it is absolutley beautiful.

But more importantly Rose is the perfect hostess! Very helpful without being intrucive and she even left us some lovley breakfast items for out first morning and gave us a lift to the airport when we were leavning!
The flat is comfortable, located in the safest area of the city (we felt), it was clean, quirky and suited us and I can imagine, everyone that would book it. I can surley recommend this place in this great, fun neighbourhood. There was a very short walking distance to public transportation, shops, supermarkets, cool bars and nice restaurants. And Rose was indeed perfect and superfriendly.

  • This is a really sweet place in a terrific location. Rose was a very responsive and wonderful host. Thank you for making us feel so at home!

  • This was our first experience using Airbnb so we were a little nervous and didn't know what to expect. Rose was great at answering emails and very patient when we bombarded her with questions and gave us some great tips on SF. We arrived later than expected and Rose was there to greet us with a smile and graciously gave us her parking spot and helped us unload our bags. Rose had provided milk, eggs, bread, butter and jam so we were all set the following morning.
Loved this apartment, so homely and such a great safe neighbourhood. We defininately appreciated coming home here each night after a day exploring in the city. Excellent transport links. Great city, great apt and great hosts!
Thanks Rose & Sebastian if ever we are lucky enough to return to the city we will want to stay with you guys.

I'm a Brit that came here about 13 years ago and fell in love with San Francisco! The city has considerable charm, with friendly, interesting and hospitable people, really fabulous food, and much more to offer! This is a city comfortable with itself, with an old world feel. It is a great city for walkers with famous murals, lovely old houses, fabulous gardens and parks, classic weather (and some of that famous fog), beautiful old wooden houses and of course the sea! The sea is SO takes me under 15 minutes drive to find myself next to a pristine, beautiful beach, and yet I'm in a city with all that has to offer. You can't do much better than that....good music, bars, restaurants, clubs, theater and dance, excellent shopping, unbelievably good farmers markets and really good yoga! My husband and I traveled extensively before coming here, and we have NO desire to move!
