Rose is a perfect hostess. She shares information about the neighborhood (e.g., good restaurants, sights to see) based on her own long-time residence in the Bay Area. The apartment is ideally located near public transportation and in a lovely neighborhood with lots of good eating spots within easy walking distance. Attractive and well-maintained, the home provides the extra benefit of providing a direct look into San Francisco's architectural history and culture.
Rose goes the proverbial "extra mile" by making personal contact information available well ahead of time and staying in touch during your visit. As just one example of her helpfulness: when one of our suitcases went astray via an airline mix-up, she offered up assistance for us with advice on how best to arrange delivery. AND: Her collection of tea options is diverse and tasty! We loved our stay in this friendly, accessible-to-the-airport, and attractive apartment.
We had an amazing stay at Rose's wonderful home. The apartment itself is beautiful, private, and charming, in a fantastic location close to shops and restaurants. My husband and I are actually locals; We rented out Rose's unit for a month so that varying family members could come for a visit. Rose was so accommodating and kind, and went above and beyond to make sure that everyone was happy and that the apartment was always appointed with fresh linens and towels. We were thrilled to have found this place and thrilled to have a new friend in Rose! Can't recommend this place highly enough.
We rented Rose's apartment for a coworker traveling from India, He loved the apartment, and Rose left him food in the apartment for when he arrived, Amazing!!! Great location, Great Host, Great apartment!!! Rose was available 24/7 and is a lovely person.
My bf and I really enjoyed our time in SF. Rose was a great host, she gave us information on places we would enjoyed, as well as restaurants in the neighborhood to try. The apartment was very nice and clean, and the neighborhood is very quiet, which we really liked too. We would definitely go back!
Great location, a walk to most everything. Spacious for two people and well stocked for people who want to cook. Very comfortable and quiet.
I loved staying here! Its a perfect place for a solo traveler or couple. In a nice family friendly neighborhood and is close to public transportation and nice places to eat. Rose couldn't be a better host! She stocked the fridge with yummy breakfast items and had books and maps for you on San Francisco that was very useful to me since its was first time in San Francisco. I would definitely recommend this place and stay there myself again!
Rose did a great job of making us feel at home. It was wonderful to find breakfast for the first morning waiting in the refrigerator. The location is perfect to our family and shopping of all kinds. The space was very clean and well organized. Everything we needed was provided. The bed was comfortable and the shower was strong and hot. We loved this apartment and plan on returning often. Thank you Rose for sharing your delightful space with us.
I'm a Brit that came here about 13 years ago and fell in love with San Francisco! The city has considerable charm, with friendly, interesting and hospitable people, really fabulous food, and much more to offer! This is a city comfortable with itself, with an old world feel. It is a great city for walkers with famous murals, lovely old houses, fabulous gardens and parks, classic weather (and some of that famous fog), beautiful old wooden houses and of course the sea! The sea is SO close...it takes me under 15 minutes drive to find myself next to a pristine, beautiful beach, and yet I'm in a city with all that has to offer. You can't do much better than that....good music, bars, restaurants, clubs, theater and dance, excellent shopping, unbelievably good farmers markets and really good yoga!
My husband and I traveled extensively before coming here, and we have NO desire to move!
