  • We had a wonderful relaxing stay at Sollevante. So nice to chill on the verandah in a hammock or by the pool overlooking the ocean. Comfortable clean room, grounds and pool well maintained and helpful friendly staff.
Approx. 15 min walk to town down a long steep hill or $6 taxi, although we really enjoyed being able to retreat from town.
Would stay here again, many thanks...

  • Sorry but this place was a big disappointment. I was under the impression that I was renting a private home from a homeowner and that wasn't the case. We had to share the pool with all the surrounding casitas. I guess this is my own fault for not investigating this further. However, the place was in horrible condition. There were no ceiling fans and none of the windows had screens so we could not open any of the windows without letting creatures and bugs in. The beds had “a” sheet. That was it. No other bedding at all and it was just generally uncomfortable. There was a huge colony of ants streaming in through the window in the kitchen and the place was just tiny. For $120 a night I expected a lot more. If we were able to leave after the first night I think we would have. To think that we stayed at Si Como No in Manuel Antonio for $25 more a night is a little unbelievable. If this place was $50 a night and the photos were more accurate it might be ok for those that are traveling on a budget. The pool is nice but not when you have to share it with extremely loud Europeans. I had high hopes for this place but left very disappointed.

  • What a wonderful place to happen upon... The bungalows are beautiful and well designed... Amazing landscaping and views as well as an infinity pool that drops into the ocean..there were starfruit, lemons, limes, coconuts and water apples within a step and a reach of the front porch... Highly suggest an unforgettable stay but also a car to get you here as it is up a steep hill very close to montezuma's center.

  • Sollevante villas are located above the town of Montezuma. The view is lovely and the staff were very friendly. The rooms and bathroom were very clean, although a lot of bugs did manage to get into our bathroom. For future guests, I would highly recommend renting a vehicle to get to and from the villa. My sister and I found it very difficult to find taxis in Montezuma in the evenings/weekends and walking is not an option.

  • Hotel Casita Sollevante is a complex of well appointed apartments located at the top of the hill above Montezuma. The apartments themselves are very nice, have good kitchens and clean bathrooms. The pool is lovely and it seems like every apartment has a hammock. It's definitely a retreat away from my usual busy life.

Sollevante did leave some things to be desired though. The location is not ideal. It is a very steep 15-20 minute walk to the main village of Montezuma. As someone who is good shape, I feel comfortable saying that it is virtually impossible to get back up the hill without a car or ATV, especially given the temperature outside.

If you stay here be prepared to pay for a taxi to take you up the hill (between $4-6 per ride), have a car ($75/day) or rent an ATV ($75+/day).

Overall my experience there was very pleasant, but unfortunately due to the location, I wouldn't stay here again.
