I had a great time staying with Lin. Her ranch is located 20 minutes from downtown Austin. As you drive in, it feels like stepping in another world! If you like horses, this is the place to stay. Lin's house is cute and cosy and decorated with horses painting and photos. Her 3 dogs are lovely and were very welcoming. I got to enjoy a cup of coffee on the first morning I was there with Lin. We had a nice little talk and then walked over the ranch to see the horses and say hi to the 12 day old colt!
My room was small, but it had everything I needed and was clean. I had my own bathroom, which was great. The bed was comfortable and waking up to the birds singing was priceless. Thank you Lin. I'd definitely stay there again.
The reservation was canceled 42 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Lin was a wonderful host. She would often go beyond even Texan hospitality to make our stay more enjoyable or comfortable, and taught us a lot about Texan history and food! We even benefited from her great cooking a couple of times!! The ranch is lovely and was a great oasis of calm within the craziness of SXSW Austin downtown. Her dogs were very lovable too!
Onion Creek Ranch is the peaceful night's sleep surrounded by the warmth and decor of the Texas friendly ranch setting and still so close to Austin business, arts district, music venues and the Airport. Comfortable bed and clean, nice shower. Lin is the gracious hostess that makes you feel like family. So fun to wake up to the rooster crowing a greeting to the new sunny day in beautiful Austin, Texas! -Jettie
We had a lovely stay with Lin. Her ranch, though very conveniently located (within ten minutes of South Congress, and fifteen of downtown Austin), is a very relaxing, peaceful setting. My husband and I look forward to staying with her again.
Lin is an excellent host with lots of local knowledge of Austin. The house is comfortable with the charming horse ranch style living.
