Thanks were a joy to host and I'm glad the unit was everything to your liking. I look forward to hosting you again.

  • Keane was very flexible to work with me when my plane was cancelled and I needed to delay my trip by one night. Great location, safe and cozy spot.

Thanks for the review Alisa. It was a pleasure hosting you and I look forward to hosting you again.

  • Kean was great. Check in/check out was super easy, and Kean was gracious when I arrived earlier than expected (I didn't realize check in was at 3!) and had to check out an hour later than specified. The apartment is a cute colorful, bare bones studio and was conveniently located near everything you could need - CVS, supermarket, restaurants, Starbucks, etc. It's located in the Gold Coast area of the city, which is nice, safe, with lots of high end shopping and about a 10 minute walk away from the Magnificent Mile.

The kitchen is not outfitted for cooking, but does have dishes and some silverware (and wine glasses - awesome). The water pressure in the shower is a bit lower than I was used to, and it never really got hot, but it was comfortable and worked just fine. This is nothing I didn't know going into renting the apartment, but just a heads up for future AirBnB-ers - there is no landline or internet, so be sure you have a working cell phone (that can be used as a hotspot, if you need internet) - and don't lose it!! (As I did, of course. Thankfully there's a Dave & Busters across the street who were nice to let me use their phone to try to find my cell, and there's a few Starbucks in the area where I could go for Wifi access.)

Having been in town for a conference, I very much appreciated the full length mirror in the apartment!

Kean was very communicative and flexible throughout my stay. I'd stay here again. Thanks, Kean!

  • Great location and easy to find building. The apartment was overall tidy and clean. the shower, however, did not have very warm water, at best luke warm, which made showering somewhat unpleasant. The heating made a lot of noise - it might annoy someone with a light sleep (in the winter). The kitchen had basic utensils which allowed me to have some meals at the apartment, which was nice.

Thanks for the review Marina. I wish you had called me in which I could have helped with your issues but nevertheless thanks for choosing my unit. Many blessings.

  • The apartment was clean and straightforward. It's not set up for primping or cooking but the bed was comfy enough for a full night's sleep.

  • The apartment is in a very good location. It is close to the Magnificent Mile, and close to the lake. The neighborhood is also very nice. Kean has been very accommodating as well. So, it has been a positive experience.

    Response from Kean:

Thanks for the feedback Simon! I appreciate it.

  • I had an excellent experience in renting Kean's apartment. Key highlights include:

    (1) the building is located on Clark Street (lots of cab traffic), three blocks directly south of the Clark / Division station (the Red line on the L-Train system). And downtown is approximately a 10-15 minute walk directly south. Getting around is VERY easy.

    (2) The apartment itself is on the 2nd floor of the building, so only a single flight of stairs separates it from the ground level.

    (3) There are pay laundry facilities on the main floor, which was a real bonus (2 week vacation, 1 week worth of clothes in the bag....)

Comfort and cleanliness: the bed was comfortable, heating & air conditioning worked well, and it was spotless when I arrived.

Friendly neighbors: I had a chance to speak to a couple of the other tenants in the building while I was coming and going. Excellent people, very warm and friendly.

Overall it is a great place to stay and I would recommend it to anyone and everyone!

  • We stayed for a little less than a week at this apartment. It is basically a no-frills one-bedroom apartment. It was clean and cozy for the two of us although it was rather small compared to what we were used to.

The best thing about this apartment is the location. It is hard to rent something close to the Chicago River and the Magnificient Mile for that amount of money.

Only thing to improve would be the availability of WiFi and the TV service quality which works erratically.

    Response from Kean:

Thanks for the nice review Ricardo. I appreciate the kind words. As for the Wifi, this told in the Ad before booking that it was not available so I'm not sure why that was mentioned and as far as the TV, what was the issue. I hadn't heard this problem before so maybe it could've been something that I could have fixed. Sorry for that.

  • I enjoyed staying at Kean's apartment. The location was superb and very quiet, despite being so close to downtown. The bed was comfy and the apt had everything I needed for a short stay. The neighbours I encountered in the hallway were friendly also. Kean was very professional and always available if needed. I would recommend this place and would stay there again if the opportunity arose. Thank you Kean!

    Response from Kean:

Thanks Simone! It was a pleasure hosting you and I would definitely recommed you to anyone in the AirBnB community. Thanks for the private feedback as well. Hopefully I will be hosting you again soon in the near future.

  • Clean apartment in a great location close to metro. Kean was very easy to contact and always responded quickly to my messages making things so easy. As I knew before I arrived I wasn't able to do half of what I wanted to in the short timeframe which makes a good excuse for a return visit to the city and the apartment. Thanks Kean
