Interaction with Guests
I interact with all of my guests usually over the phone as when I book my units, I'm usually traveling the same time. But I'm available 24/7
I love the safety of the area, the proximity of the bars and restaurants and the culture that is right outside the door.
The train and bus is literally one block from the unit. As the neighborhood is permit parking only, no car is needed as taxi's are readily available if you do not want to use buses or trains.
No smoking in the unit. No loud music or noise as this is a quite building. Air mattress is provided if a third guest needs to stay.
From Jun 1 - Aug 31, 2015 the minimum stay is 1 night.
Location was good. Close to the lake and to Magnificent Mile. The place was alright, I would add at least one night stand next to the bed because you don't get anywhere but the floor to put the stuff you want close to you when you're in bed. Host was always available, very fast response at all times.
As mentioned in some reviews the pictures do not depict the actual apartment. It is in fact smaller, less 'white' and does not look out on a street but a back wall. The kitchen sink does have water coming up but the shower and bathroom sink work perfectly. I only needed a place to leave my things, wash up and sleep. So this place was perfect for that. Conveniently situated in a safe and fancy neighbourhood, you are close to all other neighbourhoods. Christopher was very clear in communications and directions on how to get there and in.
Bill as I've mentioned to others, its the same apartment it just doesn't have carpet anymore. When guest don't see carpet they automatically assume it's different. Geez. Also more white meaning camera lighting. Yes, I think this is what the difference is *side eye*
Christopher was flexible on requests, quick to respond and all instructions were relatively clear.
The unit was compact and clean.
The location is great as the apartment is in a quiet and safe residential area just north of the downtown and close to transit and nearby recreational areas.
The room pictured on the listing is not the actual unit. It is similar but somewhat misleading as the actual unit looks onto a brick wall with little natural light.
As mentioned by others, the plumbing system in the building is not fantastic - water backed up from the kitchen sink on several occasions.
Overall, the apartment met my needs for a visit to explore Chicago.
The images of the external environment should be changed - there is considerably nicer than it first appears ;-)

Christopher was quick to respond to any issues, flexible on requests and all instructions were relatively clear. The unit was compact and clean. As other have mentioned, the plumbing system in the building is likely very old and water backed up from the kitchen sink on several occasions. Overall, the apartment met our needs for a long weekend visit to explore Chicago.
Great location on a gorgeous street, affordable, was able to check in early.
Things to improve:
The sink makes a very loud gurgling noise and then smells like rotten eggs. There was hair everywhere. Also the air conditioner face fell off instantly. The whole building smells like stale smoke.
Basic studio apartment close to the centre of Chicago on a quiet street. Clean, if cheaply furnished. No (website hidden) a gesture.
Most irritating aspect of the room? There's a small, unnoticable step in the bathroom which I stubbed my foot/toes on EVERY SINGLE TIME I used the bathroom. Completely unneccessary.
The ad doesn't show WIFI so this shouldn't have been a surprise. Additionally, the step in the bathroom can not be removed as its part of the floor so my apologies for stubbing your toe but after the first time, you should't have had it happen again :-) Unless you weren't paying attention. Many blessings to you.
