I am happy to share information and tips to make your stay more enjoyable and interesting. If you need car or bike rental or a reliable tour guide I would be more than happy to help organize that for you or point you in the right direction.
Our house is open to the rice fields making it it a true authentic Balinese experience. However there are small details out of our control. due to the nature of our setting. Small dead bugs and guecko droppings are a daily experience sometimes less than others. If food left outside on the table or benches ants will move in quickly at the opportunity of a great feast ! ..So be minded and keep a flexible attitude around these issues. If something is disturbing your stay in regards of outside/open rice field living experience don't hesitate to talk to our cleaner she lives down the road and is more than willing to help. Thank you

This house was perfectly designed with view in mind and to enjoy the surroundings.
All that you need is here. Stayed a week and just chilled in this quiet little village. I could live here and in fact, I think I will.
The hustle of Ubud is close is 10 minutes away by car or motorbike down winding narrow country roads, in either direction. Once you’ve done your business in town, you will look forward and immediately feel a calm upon your return.
The home provides all that you need. The place is clean and the canopy netted bed is comfy. Kitchen is a little on the small side and dishware and pots and pans a bit old. The ants have this place on their radar so be sure not to leave any crumbs because they will invade by the hundreds in minutes, but you’ll find diligent cleanliness is the most effective best solution.
The internet router might need rebooting a couple of times but was reliable and speed was adequate. There is a television but no reception. Instead you will find a dvd player are ample dvds available.
For some reason though, builders in this area seem to think tourists need a western style washroom with bathtub which imo seems out of place with the simple Indonesian design of the house.
Nevertheless, if you are looking for a place to park yourself for a quiet rest, to read, write or a romantic getaway, this will do quite nicely. We really enjoyed our stay.
Your host Stephane is not in the area or in the country I presume, but still promptly responded to my enquiries via email.
Lovely place, very peaceful and beautiful. I arrived after a very long journey and Sudy was waiting for me at the airport. When we pulled up to the residence at first I felt disappointed because I thought it wasn't private enough. But it really is. I had all the peace and quiet I needed.
The shower pressure is very low but the bath is lovely. Fresh water was supplied as were plenty of clean sheets and towels. You will need to hire a scooter but try and shop around for a decent price.
I would definately, without a doubt stay here again and have already recommended it to my friends. Charlotte was extremely helpful whilst I was enquiring and replied as soon as she could each time.
Extremely pleased with the experience!
Beautiful stay in Charlotte and Juan's house... all was perfect. The house is very inspiring, with good energy and i loved so much the decoration and the ricefields around. This is a truly special place.
Juan was a perfect host caring about my needs as the locals who take care of the house.
Thank you thank you.
What a special place! Juan and Charlottes place is a slice of paradise, 10 minutes out of ubud, private, tranquil and with lots of local character.
The house faces directly onto the most beautiful rice fields and makes for the most sensational "backyard" and amazingly zen place to wake up to every morning.
The house has everything you need including the lovely maid Made who will clean the place for you fail.
We loved jumping on our scooter everyday and driving through the rice fields into our Yoga classes in Ubud. Particular racing Juan lovely dog Jungle at the start of our journey was fun highlight.
We would with out hesitation recommend this place and we hope to stay again when we return to ubud.

Charlotte's place is fantastic, especially for a couple. The views are outstanding and the fully supplied kitchen is a real bonus. Renting a scooter is important since it is an 8 minute ride into town. I definitely endorse this place.
Charlotte's house on the rice paddies is exactly how the photos show it- beautiful! Very quiet-no chickens and dogs which is a real plus in Bali. Excellent internet- also a plus in Bali!!
Charlotte's partner Juan took good care of us and was very helpful.
Highly recommend this place for when you're visiting Ubud.
A quiet area and a very beautiful house. Lots of bugs outside at night, so I tended to retreat into the bedroom. An awesome location if you've got a scooter--a short, easy ride to the main street of Ubud. Internet was slower than elsewhere in Bali, but it was reliable. Some confusion getting directions to the house initially, but Juan (Charlotte's boyfriend) was very helpful throughout my stay.
That was wonderful week in Charlotte's house. Very clean, peaceful and solitarily. I could spend hours just sitting on terrace with cat and enjoying view of rice fields and sounds of nature. House is situated in quiet place but if we need to get in Ubud it took just 5 minute bike drive. Charlotte organized for us very good bike for our arrival. We had everything for great relaxation. Through the full-equiped kitchen we could cook meals which are used to and enjoy them on terrace with beautiful view.
Juan and Charlotte took wonderful care of me. Juan was helpful, friendly, caring and totally at ease with me in this beautiful space. Although a bit out of town from Ubud, I came to look forward to my longer ride home from a night on the town as the village and rice paddies on the way there are so peaceful. The house is beautiful, clean, welcoming and felt like home. I can't wait to come back.
