Our modern home is situated next to a Community garden in a quiet, pretty and safe residential street close to the city in one of Adelaide's nicest neighbourhoods. Cafes, restaurants, pubs and shops are within easy walking distance and the bus stop is 4 minutes away. Parking is available.
You could stay in an apartment in the city - or you could stay in a stylish modern home in one of Adelaide's nicest suburbs, just a short distance from the city and get the benefits of local knowledge, a safe environment, warmth and hospitality from people who genuinely care about their guests' travel experiences and who are regular Airbnb users themselves.
Our home is newly built, modern and the front section is separate from the rest of the house, providing privacy for our guests.
We have two rooms listed. The two rooms together provide various combinations of accommodation for 1-4 people. We provide excellent value for money, and what you see in the photos is what you get!
This listing is for the Double room, comprising bedroom with Queen bed and storage, suitable for one person or a couple.
(The second room has two single beds and storage and is suitable for a single, two friends or family members. See our other listing). You can book both rooms through either listing.
You can enjoy a substantial continental breakfast on the deck overlooking the community garden next door, in the courtyard down the back or in our dining room.
The resident King Charles Spaniel, Albert the Wonder Dog, is cute, old and never allowed in the guest area of the house. He is often given a 6 star rating, while we only get 5!

Interaction with Guests
We enjoy meeting fellow travellers and love our home city, so we are very happy to chat with you and provide local information or solve the problems of the world over a glass of wine or breakfast. On the other hand, we will also respect your privacy and leave you to relax in peace!
Fullarton is a quality, safe, quiet leafy suburb with a village feel, only 4 km from the centre of the city. It is served by frequent public transport, with the bus to the city just a few minutes walk from our house. You will be staying within a short walk of a wide variety of gourmet cafes, pubs and restaurants as well as interesting shops and boutiques. We are adjacent to a bike path that leads into the city and onto Adelaide's delightful linear park, where you can ride along the river to either the beach or the hills. Two bikes are available. Walking into the city is also a pleasant option
The closest bus to the city is a 4 minute walk and stops at most of the main attractions in the city - Hutt Street cafe precinct, Central Market, Chinatown, Gouger Street restaurant strip, the Mall, North Terrace and the Arts precinct, Botanic Gardens. It also links very closely with the tram, the Airport buses and the two free Adelaide hop on/hop off buses.
There is a second bus, 10-12 minutes walk, that goes past Adelaide Oval and down to Glenelg Beach.
If you have a car the delights of the Adelaide Hills, McLaren Vale and Barossa wine regions make a lovely day trip and the beaches are 15-20 minutes away. The airport is 15 minutes drive. Parking is safe and easy - either on the driveway, or on the street where there is plenty of room.
Other Things to Note
We aim to provide you with a quality home away from home experience! We have travelled extensively throughout the world but love our home city and we'd love to share it with you.
Sorry - no children and the house and garden are both non smoking zones. We are happy to let you use the kitchen to prepare snacks or store things in the refrigerator, but no cooking thanks.
Bev and Lester made us feel welcome in their lovely home. Made us a cup of tea and coffee and had a nice chat.
Could not have found a cleaner room, very comfy. It was great to have a separate lounge to ourselves.
They were very knowledgable about Adelaide and gave us some good pointers on places to visit. Helped us with the bus into the city and some good places to eat locally.
Bev was friendly and welcoming. My granddaughter and I enjoyed our stay. Her house is stylish and clean. The beds were comfortable, the breakfast tasty. Thankyou
I think this was and will be the best AirBnB travel experience ever! Bev and her husband Lester were really lovely hosts! The house was very clean and modern, just as described in the offer. Bev served me healthy delicious breakfast every morning and together with Lester we watched some sports on TV and enjoyed red wine in the evening.
I was allowed to use one of the bikes and Bev and I even enjoyed a lovely bike trip to the beach together where she'd shown me all the interesting places nearby.
Whoever wants to go to Adelaide - I would certainly recommend staying at this lovely, warm and welcoming house!
We had a great stay with Bev and Lester. It is exactly as described, Bev made us very welcome without being over the top.
It was so much better than a hotel ( I've never seen a hotel this clean) so much more room, plus Bev left her car outside to make room for our bikes.
Breakfast was outstanding and Bev and Lesters advice on the locale was priceless.
The stay was nice: the breakfast is always a nice start of the day, the room and amenities are well set and tasteful, the place is quiet and very clean, Bev, Lester and Albert are very warm to provide a nice stay and great tips of seeing Adelaide where tourists may not have chance to visit. Thank you! It was a pleasant and memorable experience.
Bev was a great host, she made us feel so welcome. The room was lovely, as was the guest sitting room, and everything was very clean.
Location is perfect; extremely easy to get to town as well as the countryside.
Can only highly recommend; we wished we could have stayed longer and spend more time getting to know Bev
Perfect choice to start our trip! Very warm welcome by Beverly & Lester. Ideal facilities, tasty breakfasts, relaxed atmosphere, helpful hosts, easy access to city, great to have loan of bikes. Very many thanks! Chris &Wendy
