Awesome/Cozy Old Town Studio Apt

Apartment - Entire home/apt · N La Salle Dr, Chicago, IL 60610, United States

The Space

Right on the border of Old Town and Gold Coast in Chicago, this studio apartment in what used to be a luxury hotel in the 1920s would be a great weekend getaway for an individual, a couple, or some close friends who need a place to crash between their Chicago adventures! It has a daybed that acts as a couch during the day and can turn into a twin bed when you're ready to turn in for the night. There's a queen bed, full kitchen, bathroom, and it's right on the 2nd floor of the historic building.

Jewel Osco is across the street, CVS and Walgreens are less than five minutes away walking

The House of Glunz is the oldest business in Old Town, and the oldest wine shop in Chicago and the Midwest (and it's right in your backyard)

Getting around:
Steps away from the Clark/Division Red line stop (2 stops/5 minutes from downtown)
CTA bus stops on La Salle and Wells (in front and back of the building)
Taxis are constantly driving up and down the block - you'll never wait more than 2 minutes

Places to eat:
Start heading down Wells St, and you're in the heart of Old Town - bars, restaurants, ice cream, hair salons, boutiques and home furnishing stores
Head east toward the lake and you'll find yourself in beautiful Gold Coast, where you'll find award-winning restaurants and famous bars/pubs ... not to mention the best shopping off Michigan Avenue

I'm originally from Michigan and now live in Chicago working for a tech startup. I love good food, beer and I live to dance and travel while spending my time with friends and family ... and my dogs! My favorite place in the U.S. (thus far) is Glen Arbor, MI. It was voted Good Morning America's Most Beautiful Place, and it is a seriously incredible part of northern Michigan. Lots of cherries, wineries, sweeping vistas, and the BEST outdoor activities in the summer. Big Sky, Montana is a close second. Fresh air, mountains, spring skiing ... enough said. I've hosted a couple of times on Airbnb and have had nothing but great experiences! People are very respectful, and everybody wins! It's a great service. My life motto? Dance first, think later. It's the natural order. - Samuel Beckett
