Perfect in every way. The location couldn't be better and the apartment is amazing. Recommend to anyone and everyone
We had such a great time staying at Ciro‘s beautiful and historical apartment! Ciro was there to greet us on arrival and went through everything we needed to know. The location of the apartment is unbeatable - everything is around you! So many good restaurants and gelato places. We are aware that the apartment could get a little bit noisy at night cause of its central location, but it was surprisingly okay after we shut all the windows and bedroom door - the apartment itself is very cool and with provided fans it was not a problem at all in summer time. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at Ciro‘s place and definitely recommend it if you are going to Florence!
Our first honeymoon stop was Florence, and we spent 4 nights at Ciro's home. The description and pictures were 100% accurate, and we felt we were in a dream when we arrived and had clear and gorgeous views of the Duomo. We were in Florence in mid-August and it was HOT, but we spent most of the days outdoors and the fan in the late evening was enough to keep us cool. We were central to EVERYTHING in the city. The city noise is loud, and I'm a light sleeper, so I brought earplugs and slept just fine. Our train was late so we arrived at the flat a few hours later than planned. Ciro got to us quickly when we arrive and helped us get our luggage upstairs. He left a couple cold beers in the fridge for us, and a few Euro for laundry...very kind and hospitable. We HIGLY recommend this flat for travel, honeymoon, etc. and cannot WAIT to return.
The view is AMAZING! This is the best apartment we have been in yet. It is perfect for our family of four. Plenty of storage and a completely stocked kitchen. It was hot in Florence when we visited so AC would have been nice, but the fans worked great. There is a little bit of street noise, but wasn't too bad.
Ciro and his family were a pleasure to meet and they had many suggestions on where to eat/visit. The washing machine wasn't working, but he provided euros and directions to the nearest laundry facilities.
Thank you Ciro!
Really great experience working with Ciro. He was always quick to respond and made it easy to get acquainted with the apartment.
The apartment was very large with space to both sleep and just hang out. It did get a bit hot without air conditioning, but that did not take away from the great location.
Great host and great amenities.
Ciro was a wonderful host, providing all the information we needed to get settled in easily and effortlessly. From directions to to handy brochures and numbers, we were totally set up. The space was the perfect size for the three of us, and the grand old windows more than compensated for the lack of air conditioning in the apartment.
It wasn't a quiet apartment, situated on a bustling street corner with the sound of commerce and tourism floating up to the open windows. So, if you're looking for a quiet stay, it's best not to choose a place in the center of town like this. If, however, you want to be in the middle of everything, this is the perfect choice. Within a single block, there are three fantastic "must have" staples for any Florence visit: an artisan gelateria (Edoardo), a market/tabacchi open until 11pm, and a lovely neighborhood ristorante (Lo Scudo) just downstairs.
Finally, there really is no comparison to the view that Ciro's apartment provides. Tucked into a corner building with a truly awe inspiring view of the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, the bells provided a daily reminder of Florence's magnificent history and architecture.
What a wonderful stay we had in Florence! Ciro's place was just perfect! We are a couple, traveling from Portland, OR, USA. Ciro met us upon arrival, gave us a tour of the place, and helpful info on the area. He is very kind, and efficient. The location of this apartment is wonderful - right above the Duomo Square (great views!) very easy access to explore the city and take breaks at as needed. There is street noise, but it's lovely and part of the experience and I enjoyed it! It was hot weather during our stay but the apartment got cool enough for us to sleep pleasantly. The apartment is roomy, clean and comfortable. It has a great feel to it, it felt like a home away from home.
Overall, we had a great stay here, I recommend highly, and if we ever make it back to Florence we will stay here again.
