- A printer/copier/scanner.

Interaction with Guests
If possible I - or Vanessa, my girlfriend - will welcome our new guests. However there are moments that this will not be possible. So sometimes a friend - Esther - who also cleans the house will be there.
If that all does not work out there is the backup of a keysafe I have installed on the entrance door. With the code it will always be possible to let yourself in. A house manual will tell you all you need to know. Very handy.
During your stay i'll be there to answer questions and help out in case of emergencies.
I can offer you an amazing home-cooked meal by me and my girlfirend. She is an exceptionally good cook who has worked in the highly recommended restaurant Marius in Amsterdam. We could buy ingredients together at the market and cook at home. Costs depends on what you wish.
CAR and PARKING:
Since it's Amsterdam city centre parking is very difficult and expensive (5 euro an hour). There is nevertheless a parking garages for 25 euro a day nearby (5min walk), Even better is to leave your car outside of town at the P+R transferium Amsterdam Arena (the Ajax Stadium) and take the metro. For only 8 euro a day which includes tickets for 5 people you can leave your car there. The metro will take you there in less than 15 minutes. Safe, not expensive and easy.
Loading and unloading is therefore quite easy since the house is on the end of a no-through road.
The entrance to the metro (Nieuwmarkt, exit snoekjessteeg) is only 50 metres from the house. Nearest trams are 5 minutes away in all directions and Central Station is a 15 minute walk.
Travelling from and to Schiphol Airport is easy by taking a train. It will take about an hour from door to door. Taking a taxi is possible too. Prices vary from around 40 to 50 euros (from the airport).

I would like to give you all the freedom of the world. But since this is not a hotel, but a house in a homey environment there are a few rules which should be obtained.
First of all. Please keep things clean and leave it as you've found it. I have renovated the house myself a few years ago and it is very dear to me. Use it in a responsible and respectful way.
No excessive drinking
No use or influenze of any hard drugs.
Smoking though is allowed.
Most important::. An older lady - very sweet - is living above. Although the house is well insulated loud music or screaming will be heard by her. So if you think you should categorize yourself as loud people please do not book.
And last but not least: Please keep consideration to the neighbourhood!
My husband and I spent an incredible 5 days in the heart of Amsterdam with this fantastic apartment to return to each evening after exploring the city and taking several day trips. It is located within walking distance to Central Station, the Metro, all of the museums, shops, and restaurants. The apartment is perfectly furnished, super comfortable and clean. I loved opening the door of the apartment and looking right at the Zuiderkerk, not to mention listening to its beautiful bells. It was all a dream. Dank u wel, Jeroen!
My wife and I had a wonderful time on our our honeymoon in Amsterdam and part of what made it so great was knowing we had a quiet, comfortable place to come back to. The location was perfect; it was centrally located but nestled away in a peaceful courtyard. The furnishings were comfortable and the apartment well-stocked. Though we were unable to meet our hosts, they were quick to respond and very accommodating. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Amsterdam!
This apartment is an absolute gem in the historical city center. It matched exactly the pictures and description and was large enough for our family of 4. Very close to everything, however located on an inner street thus very quiet at night. But 3 min walk and you are on market square! Jeroen and Vanessa are very nice, met us much earlier than official check in time. They explained everything we needed to know about Amsterdam, provided maps, and other very useful info about the neighborhood.
The description of Jeroen's home was accurate and it was a comfortable welcoming place which quickly felt like home. The information which he left was welcome and served us well in terms of exploring the neighborhood and beyond.
location is perfect. clean and very comfortable apart. there is 2 beds one is small. the other is french bed for 2 people.
thank you for all
The apartment was absolutely wonderful. Situated right next to a beautiful old church the chimes on the quarter hour, the apartment really is perfect. I felt very at home with the living quarters and the bathroom was excellent.
Fantastic apartment, everything we needed to eat drink and keep clean! Location is brilliant, we walked all around Amsterdam and it was all within easy walking distance on foot - all the main attractions and plenty more. On arrival, the apartment was very clean and within five minutes we were sat outside with a coffee and waffles on the window seat then just around the corner a flea market, supermarket and vintage stores and one minute to metro taking you to central.
The apartment is well proportioned, well planned and organised with quirky touches, I still can't play the piano!
A big thank you to Jeroen for sharing his place with us and many more satisfied people.

About the Host, Jeroen
Me and my girlfriend Vanessa love to travel and take in new cultures. Preferably by spending time with locals and visiting (website hidden) and eating together and finding new treasures. We are very lucky to be able do do just that while abroad for work 3 months of the year for the Dutch, Danish and Norwegian Survivor TV-shows.
We currently live on the lovely northern past of Amsterdam with our dog Spook who loves to run around in the park across the street. Our house in the city center is completely adapted for the comfort of our guests and more permanently rented out via Airbnb. We take great pride in taking care of the houses and fill them with all the things we love. One of us or our friend (who lives around the corner) will be there to welcome you and show you the house, and naturally you can contact us with whatever question you may have.
